New business ideas. The best business ideas at sea

In summer, people are divided into two categories - vacationers and those who make money from them. The prospect of getting money is especially suitable for residents of resort towns. Millions come to them every year and are willing to spend huge sums on marine entertainment. And this is not surprising, because they worked for this for a whole year, and now, having accumulated a certain capital, they can easily spend it. Business at sea is a tempting idea.

Features of entrepreneurship at sea

What business at sea will bring them good income? Of course, you can buy mini-machines and develop your own business locally, without traveling to other cities. Today, business ideas at sea are presented in a wide range. It all depends on personal desire and the availability of initial capital. Summer business at sea can bring good results, but only with the right approach. A budding businessman must start preparing in advance in order to get started with the opening of the season.

If the business at sea takes an active turn, the money received will be enough until the next season. Many people openly declare that in 4 months of active work they were able to receive amounts that were enough for them to live comfortably for the entire next year.

Therefore, stop lying on the couch and dreaming about the first million, you need to quickly develop a strategy for getting it. Everyone knows that a person on vacation triggers a special psychological factor - not to deny oneself pleasures. Therefore, even inflated prices are perceived as the norm, which means that business on the Black Sea is a serious reason to think about it.

Having made the exact decision to agree to such an adventure, it is worth finding out which business on the seashore is considered the most profitable. will help you gain basic knowledge, this will help you communicate with foreigners.

Hotel construction

The most profitable and promising idea is, of course, the hotel business at sea. It is enough to build a small complex with cozy rooms. Provide it with the necessary furniture and organize entertainment, and there will be no end to customers. However, it is worth understanding that such a business at sea involves serious financial investments.

Housing for rent

A business on the Black Sea can be organized without major investments. To do this, it is worth considering the idea of renting. Probably, many have encountered a situation where, when coming on vacation, there are people everywhere with signs. Not everyone can rent a room in an expensive hotel, so for some, this option will be a real salvation.

To organize a business, you can use your own home, rent out some of its rooms, or purchase a special apartment. Of course, you shouldn’t hope to earn a million, but you can raise a certain amount.

Beach equipment rental

Mattresses, inflatable rings or sun loungers are always actively used. The most important thing is not to overprice them, otherwise customers will find better deals. Renting sun loungers is especially popular on pebble beaches. Many people prefer a cozy bedding rather than rocks pressing against their body.

Living in an area where people actively surf, you can rent out boards even for inexperienced beginners.

Selling food

Business on the Black Sea simply could not do without selling food and drinks. There is real freedom of choice here. It could be seeds, ice cream, crayfish, beer. The main thing is to purchase goods at bases where prices are relatively low.

If you don’t want to buy something, you can cook it yourself - pies, pasties or sweet rolls. Delicacies like this are always a hit. You just have to be sure of their quality and taste.

However, it is worth understanding that this business on the seashore can hardly be called easy. You have to walk for several hours under the scorching sun, offer people food, and attract attention. Not everyone will agree to this, and especially those who have health problems. If everything suits you, you should definitely wear hats, drink more water and refuse to work during the moments of the most scorching sun from 12 to 14 hours.

Massage

Every person wants to enjoy the sound of the sea and relax thanks to a massage. Therefore, there will always be people willing. However, it is worth understanding that such a business at sea in the summer is only suitable for qualified people. There must be a supporting document. If you have this, you should purchase a tent and a special table, and most importantly, settle everything with the administration.

Vending

Recently, special devices have gained wide popularity. Thanks to them, you can purchase a huge number of goods, from groceries to napkins and pharmaceuticals. However, this equipment costs a lot of money, so it is very difficult to call such a business profitable.

The only advantage is that it can be used all year round. During the off-season, it can be installed in a cafe or other frequently visited premises. It could be something else.

Discos on the beach

There will always be people who want to dance. You just need to rent a venue, install equipment and hire a DJ. If desired, you can add a soap installation and light music. It is important to play good music, when things get going you can even organize some kind of themed parties.

Open air is also a great option for business. However, the work will be seasonal.

Sale of souvenirs

Souvenirs are a good reminder of your vacation. Therefore, it is simply impossible to leave without them. You can purchase goods at wholesale stores, after which you can increase the price several times. And if the counter is located near the beach, after a couple of weeks, the costs will be recouped.

Often people buy even the most unnecessary things. By buying magnets, plates and keychains in huge quantities, they will quickly increase their profits.

Today it is quite easy to make money at sea. Of course, great competition is a serious obstacle. However, if retail outlets along the sea continue to be actively filled with goods, then there is a way out. You can always try yourself as a businessman, especially if it does not require high costs. Even if it doesn't work out, everyone will know that they tried themselves in this.

By choosing a successful business idea, you can earn enough money to live on for the rest of the year, even if the investment is small. Any of the 12 options for a resort business given below, with an approximate calculation of the costs of opening and organizing, will allow you to quickly understand the essence of the business idea and begin promoting your business.

Sale of souvenirs

Themed souvenirs and all sorts of trinkets are always available. Popular products include: magnets, mugs, items made of shells, wood, ceramics, amber, jewelry with semi-precious stones, and much more.

Business is beneficial because:

  • The selling price of products increases at least twice.
  • Additional permits required for the sale of products are not required for the sale of souvenirs.
  • A point located on the approaches to the beach or in the city center will generate good revenue within a few days.

To organize a retail space, the following expenses will be required:

  • Purchase of goods - approximately 50,000 rubles.
  • Payment for renting a trading platform for the summer period on the beach - 150,000 rubles.

Rent of beach equipment: sun loungers, umbrellas and other things

Recently, the service of renting beach equipment has become quite common. On almost every beach you can see plastic sun loungers, umbrellas and sun loungers for rent.

If you like the business idea, then let’s clarify some nuances:

  1. When purchasing beach furniture, they are guided, first of all, by its attractive appearance, comfort and quality.
  2. The amount of equipment purchased usually depends on the number of vacationers on the beach.
  3. This business is not for one season, so take care in advance about the storage space for furniture during the cold season.

Items of expenses and income:

Thus, opening a rental point will require an investment of 300,000-320,000 rubles, not counting the opening of an individual entrepreneur and the payment of taxes. Considering that up to 11,000 rubles will be received per day from 20 sun loungers, monthly income can be 330,000 rubles. Since next season there will be no need to purchase furniture, income will accordingly increase significantly.

Sale of ice cream, smoothies, natural juices

Selling ice cream, smoothies and natural juices on the beach is almost always a profitable business in the summer heat. You can purchase a freezer to sell packaged ice cream, or you can prepare it yourself. Freshly squeezed juices are also in constant demand. In both the first and second cases, the monthly income of an entrepreneur can reach 200,000 rubles.

To sell ice cream, smoothies and juices, you will need to obtain a quality certificate for each batch of goods, a permit from the sanitary-epidemiological service, and a health book. For the success of a trading enterprise. Using a moving van may be a good option.

What will be the costs of setting up a business:

  1. When renting equipment for the production of ice cream or fresh juice, the entrepreneur’s costs will be 30,000-50,000 rubles. per month. Buying a new device will cost from 90,000 rubles. (China) up to 350,000 rub. (USA).

Organization of inexpensive attractions: shooting gallery, trampoline, etc.

Popular entertainment for children of any age are trampolines, inflatable slides, mazes and other attractions where you can jump, climb, and compete in agility and dexterity. Older vacationers enjoy visiting the prize shooting range.

Of course, you will have to spend money on purchasing a gaming complex, but in just one season it will all pay off. The main thing you need to focus on is the safety of the attractions.

What are the costs of starting a business?

  • Obtaining permits – about 5,000 rubles.
  • Children's trampoline - from 5,000 to 15,000 rubles.
  • Shooting range + archery – 40,000-66,000 rubles.
  • Inflatable children's slide – 105,000-132,000 rubles.
  • Zorb (transparent floating ball) – 16,000-40,000 rubles.
  • Generator for generating electricity – 15,000 rubles.
  • Renting land (1 square meter of territory) will cost from 500 to 2,500 rubles per month.
  • Income tax – within 9,000 rubles.
  • Rent of premises for storage of attractions.

With revenue of 150,000 rubles. net profit after all deductions will be about 120,000 rubles.

Braiding, tattooing

Braiding is in fashion today, so you can find this service at resorts. The desire of young girls to spend the whole day at sea and in the evening go to a cafe or restaurant with a well-groomed head is completely justified. So a business idea for braiding appeared. It does not require any special expenses; all you need from the master is skill and skill. Such work can bring up to 10,000-12,000 rubles per day.

Temporary tattoos are also practiced on the beaches, and this service is popular. Their advantage is that after 2-3 weeks the image fades and can be easily removed. A picture of your choice, be it a dragon or someone’s name, is drawn directly on the client’s shoulder or arm using harmless paint. Business profitability is 300%.

Providing massage and medical services

A relaxing massage on the beach is a great business idea. There will be profit in this business from the first day.

To work you will need:

  1. Tent
  2. 2 trestle beds
  3. Towels, sheets
  4. Massage Oil
  5. Rented piece of beach (6 m2 is enough). Its rent will be about 1,000 rubles. in a day.

The duration of the massage is approximately 15 minutes. For this pleasure, clients will pay 150-200 rubles. Having accumulated a sufficient number of regular visitors, you can have up to 3,000 rubles daily.

Medical services are no less necessary in the resort area. Some of the vacationers need to measure their blood pressure, while others have rubbed their leg. The costs of purchasing the necessary equipment are not so large, while profits will be made every day.

Trade in fast food, cotton candy, popcorn and other things

The production of donuts, cotton candy, and popcorn is one of the win-win options for a summer business. Its profitability is high, because children love goodies and sweets. The purchasing price of raw materials for their production is significantly lower than the selling price. The number of sales also depends on the right location.

No special knowledge is required when trading fast food, cotton candy, popcorn, etc. All operations are performed by a specialized apparatus. However, some skills will still be needed, but everything is easy to learn.

How much will the start-up investment in the business cost?

  • Purchase of a machine for the production of cotton candy - 5,100-15,000 rubles, popcorn - from 13,000 rubles, donuts - from 21,000 rubles.
  • Stand for the device – 5,000 rubles.
  • Battery – 5,000 rub.
  • Gas cylinder – 5,000 rubles.
  • Raw materials: sugar – 60 rub./kg, corn – 93 rub./kg, flour – 14 rub./kg.
  • Renting a place – 10,000-12,000 rubles.

Sale of draft wine, beer, carbonated drinks, kvass

The demand for soft drinks in summer is quite high. Who doesn’t want to pamper themselves with cold beer or kvass in the heat? We advise aspiring entrepreneurs to adopt one of the most current business ideas. It has several undeniable advantages: high profitability and huge demand. Despite the competition, you can make good money in business.

To implement the idea you need:

  1. Conclude a lease agreement for the territory.
  2. Find a supplier that offers fresh and tasty products.
  3. Invite staff. Perhaps at first the entrepreneur will engage in trade himself, but as the outlets increase, people will be needed.

Let's calculate the necessary expenses when selling carbonated drinks:

  • Refrigeration equipment for cooling drinks (used) – RUB 14,000.
  • Rent a place – 10,000 rubles.
  • Purchase of drinks – 50,000 rubles.
  • Employee salary – 18,000 rubles.

In total, promotion will require 92,000 rubles. The average monthly income is expected to be within 136,000 rubles.

Costs of organizing the sale of kvass:

  • Barrel for kvass – 50,000 rubles.
  • Purchase of kvass – 60,000 rubles.
  • Territory rental – 10,000 rubles.
  • The seller's salary is 15,000-20,000 rubles.

The profit from one barrel sold is 5,000 rubles. per day, for the season the expected income is 160,000 rubles.

Organization of professional photo and video shooting

While spending a vacation at a resort, everyone would like to have memorable photos of their summer vacation in order to remember pleasant moments and show them to family and friends. This suggests that by organizing a photography and videography business, a professional photographer can make good money. The photography business is very profitable and investments in it quickly pay off.

The main expenses will be on the purchase of a professional camera - from 50,000 to 100,000 rubles. However, if there are regular customers, the invested funds can be returned within a month.

Based on the fact that:

  • Half an hour of photography (15 pictures) costs 1,000 rubles.
  • An hour of photography (30 photos) – 1,500-2,000 rubles.
  • Two hours in different places (60 photos) – 3,000 rubles.

It is enough to have only 5 clients a day for a beginning photographer to earn about 60,000 rubles. monthly. Shooting in medieval clothes, a carriage, on a throne, etc. may be of additional interest to vacationers.

Sale of tickets for concerts, exhibitions, excursions

Also, a novice entrepreneur can organize the sale of tickets for concerts, exhibitions, and excursions in the resort area, which is very convenient for vacationers. Not everyone wants to stand in line at the box office for tickets to a popular play or ballet.

No special investment in business is required, since tickets can be distributed along the beach. If you need a stationary point of sale, then renting 1 square meter of premises will cost 500-2,500 rubles. per month. For the distribution of tickets, an agreement is concluded with representatives of theaters and philharmonic societies.

Organization of excursions and events

Creating an excursion business most often attracts specialists who are already familiar with this field of activity. In the summer, there is usually a large influx of vacationers, so you can make good money. It is best to sell tickets for excursions in hotels, boarding houses, and near the station, where a large number of visitors are concentrated.

To develop an excursion business, you can establish business connections with entrepreneurs who provide services for organizing horseback riding, diving, boat trips, etc.

What costs will be required to implement a business idea:

  1. Renting a bus for excursions – 900-1,700 rubles. at one o'clock.
  2. Renting a place to sell tickets – from RUB 5,000.
  3. Prices for excursions are calculated depending on the amount of money spent, the number of clients and the planned profit of the organizer.

Renting housing

Having owned real estate, you can easily implement such a profitable business idea as renting out housing. Daily rentals will bring much higher profits than long-term rentals. No special investments are required, but the rented premises must be clean, and even better if it has at least cosmetic repairs.

To arrange housing you will need:

  • All necessary furniture - beds, TV, tables, chairs, etc.
  • Household appliances – refrigerator, washing machine, cooking stove.
  • Clean sets of bed linen, dishes, towels.

After the next residents have moved out, cleaning and washing should be done. After this, you can move in new people.

Considering that in coastal cities the cost of daily rent can reach:

  • For a 1-room apartment up to 2,000 rubles. per day.

I'll start my idea with my small part of my biography. I live in the city of Odessa (Ukraine), on the Black Sea coast. At the beginning of summer, as usual, a new flow of tourists and city guests pours into the city.

These tourists and guests of our wonderful city, dreaming of escaping from the stuffy embrace of the polluted Garden Ring, reached towards the sea, to the south. To relax on the Black Sea shore and soak up the sun. They come to our coast to relax, and our beaches warmly welcome these guests.

The holiday season has begun...

What is the resort business famous for? And the fact that in a short time, namely in 3-4 months, you can earn a lot of extra money, recouping the initial investment without excessive effort and making some profit in the first season.

Beaches stretch for thousands of kilometers and are full of people. People who desperately need at least some kind of service. Many owners of significant capital have long created private beaches and earn good money from this, but not everyone can create their own beach. I offer you a business that will not require such costs from you.

So this year I came across these products:

The product is designed for relaxing in the beach area; you can sunbathe on them comfortably.

Having purchased a certain number of such sun loungers, you can open a rental in the nearest beach area and rent them out at an hourly rate.

  1. The desire to earn money.
  2. A little time.
  3. Small initial capital.
Let's look at everything point by point.

The optimal number of beds to start with will be about 20 pieces. In the future, the number of rental equipment can be increased.

The cost of the first model (curved) is $180, the cost of the second model (straight) is $200. We purchase 10 pieces of each product. Total we get: 180*10 + 200*10 = 3800.

$3800 will be the cost of purchasing (20 pieces) of this product. And so we face the first and most serious cost.

We must not forget that we do not live in the Stone Age and there are many lending institutions around us that provide a huge number of different lending programs. Since the amount required is not very large, it can be borrowed from a bank by a private individual, without dealing with many of the difficulties that accompany obtaining a loan for business development.

This amount can be negotiated at approximately 20% per annum. This will be $760 - but this is per annum! And per month it turns out to be $63.3. For a season (4 months) it will be $253.20. Until the end of the season, $3800 can be recouped in any case, so the risk is minimal.

Let's look at the rental structure

We rent each model for $1 per hour. The optimal number of working hours will be about 8 hours a day.

This means we will get a maximum of $8 from one bed per day.

We have 20 of them, therefore, the maximum profit limit from 20 pieces per day will be $160!

How many such working days will there be over the summer? Let’s say there are about 60 sunny days. In total, we get: maximum profit for the season 60*160 = $9600. Even taking into account the equipment load within two-thirds, the final profit significantly exceeds the costs required for the start.

But that's not all, we haven't covered all the costs. So far we have considered the following costs:

  1. $3800 - for the purchase of products;
  2. $253.20 - % of the bank.
What have we missed?

We need a worker, a worker who will sell our products to vacationers. This could be a student from a nearby institute, college, or academy who wouldn’t mind earning some money over the summer. In a word, it is not difficult to find a person who will get a job for the season during his summer holidays.

How much will our expenses per employee be, what salary should we pay him? It would seem that this is not such a difficult question: $150-200 a month for sitting on the beach will be quite enough. But! Do not forget that the person will be dealing with cash and it will not be difficult for him to deceive you. In this case, you will need to interest your employee in earning money, namely, set it at a certain percentage (daily, weekly, monthly) + rate (salary). This must be done to protect yourself from unexpected costs.

For example, $40 per week plus a certain percentage. The total is about $160 +%, about $200-250 per month. And so for the season this expense will be about $600-800. Let's take the arithmetic average - $700. And we have a new expense, employee wages.

You can completely exclude this cost from the list of expenses, but under one small condition - you will directly be this employee. The work will be as follows:

  • arrive at the place of work;
  • take the beds to the beach;
  • set up a table with a sun umbrella;
  • At the end of the working day, knock up the cash register and hand it over to your boss, that is, to you.

Our next expense will be to rent a room to store our products at night. Since the product is not large, it will not take up much space. The warehouse will cost about $100 per month. Accordingly, for the season it will be about $400. We faced another cost, a warehouse - $400.

You can also include your transportation costs in the costs:

  • delivery of products to the place (at the beginning of the season) about $15-20;
  • export of products (at the end of the season) about $15-20;
  • your transportation costs are about $60.

Total $100 per season.

To this should be added the money required to register a private entrepreneur and pay taxes, the amount of which may vary depending on the chosen taxation scheme and local authorities.

So, what expenses do we have:

  1. $3800 - for the purchase of products;
  2. $253.20 - % of the bank;
  3. $700 - employee salary;
  4. $400 - warehouse;
  5. $100 — transportation costs;
  6. Taxes.

Total expenses for the entire season will be about $5,250 excluding taxes.

Now let's return to our figure of $9600. Accordingly, 9600 – 5250 = 4350.

$4350 - maximum profit for the summer (for 3-4 months)!!! This is your $1000 per month.

If next year you decide to repeat this matter again, then keep in mind that 1, 2 items from the list of costs will disappear and only will remain: $700 - employee salary; $400 - warehouse; $100 – shipping costs and taxes.

And next year your expenses for the season will be about $1200.

And accordingly: 9600-1200 = $8400 $8400 will be the maximum profit for the season next year! That's more than $2000 a month! Prices are for 2005.

On the sea coast it has both advantages and disadvantages. Among the latter, there is quite serious competition, regardless of what you decide to do. When choosing beach products for sale at sea, do not forget that they should be based on creating comfortable conditions for vacationers at reasonable prices.

Trade in drinks and ice cream

When asking yourself the question of what is profitable to trade at sea, you can almost without hesitation immediately answer that, or takes pride of place among the most popular resort business ideas. These products are probably , holidaymakers are ready to buy in any quantity, always and often, regardless of price. Therefore, 100% markup will be completely justified in this case.

There can be two options for running such a business:

  1. Economy
  2. With fundraising

To implement the first one you will need:

  • choose a suitable location;
  • rent equipment;
  • find a supplier who will be willing to give you goods for sale.

To start such an activity, you won’t need a lot of money, and you can even earn very good money, given the 100% profitability. The most significant cost item in this case will be the rental of a retail space, since in the summer season the prices for such “fish” places increase significantly.

Attractions

The best business ideas for a resort town are always related to the service sector. One of these areas is considered to be attractions for all age categories. Of course, relaxing by the sea is not limited to just lying on the beach. Vacationers will certainly need to do something else, especially in the evening, when the whole family goes for a walk.

It makes no difference whether you decide to install portable or stationary attractions. Today, manufacturers offer a huge selection of such entertainment, and it is quite difficult to select the most popular ones.

Summer, sun, sea - this is the magic formula for a successful holiday. It is precisely her call that, with the beginning of the beach season, strings of vacationers, pale to green, stretch out in the hope of finding happy relaxation and a bronze tan. But there is a special breed of people for whom the gentle whisper of the surf sounds like a thunderous call to action. These people never have a summer vacation because they are resort business owners.

Every vegetable has its time, or the intricacies of seasonal business

Almost everything that surrounds us and that is designed to satisfy human needs (be it a product or service) can be bought and sold. But among the endless variety of things sold and bought, there are goods and services that are most profitable (and reasonable) to sell at certain times of the year. For example, it hardly makes sense to try to persuade a client to ride on an inflatable “banana” on a stormy November sea. And even if there is a casual fan of such an extreme holiday, the revenue received is unlikely to cover the costs incurred.

Christmas decorations are a prime example of a seasonal product: they are in demand and bring profit only at certain times of the year.

A business is called “seasonal” if the profit it brings depends to one degree or another on the time of year. Such a business project is designed for a limited period of time and does not require a long-term strategy; This is an option for people who want to earn money “here and now.”

Features of seasonal business

Seasonal business has a number of features that are due to its limited time:

  1. In a relatively short period of time, such a business goes through all the stages of development of a full-fledged commercial project: the preparatory stage, the start (“entry” into the season), the actual implementation of the project (season), its closure (“exit” from the season) and summing up.
  2. The limited time for project implementation requires particularly careful preliminary preparation.
  3. In general, the profitability of seasonal goods (services) is much higher than all-season ones, since at the “peak” of the season the demand for the corresponding product is very high.
  4. At the same time, the strong dependence of consumer demand on external factors (for example, weather) causes increased commercial risks for seasonal business.
  5. A seasonal product must be offered in sufficient quantities at the right time: both a surplus of such a product and a shortage of it equally lead to a decrease in the level of expected profit, since the principle “if it sells not now, it will sell later” does not work in this case.
  6. A seasonal business does not have time to re-plan and regroup; all decisions must be made promptly and based on current market conditions.

The main goal of any seasonal business is to obtain maximum profit during the peak season. The summer resort business in this sense is no exception, and with careful preparation and competent organization, its profitability can reach 100% or more.

The “golden” rule of resort entrepreneurship

The basic rule of the resort business is: any business activity, regardless of its type, should be carried out in the most crowded places possible. Expand your business in parks, recreation areas, on beaches and embankments, in shopping and entertainment centers and near train stations: the more potential customers nearby, the higher the chances of decent revenue.

Resort business needs to be set up in “passable” places: the more people there are, the more potential clients there are among them

Traditionally, the industries most suitable for resort business are trade and services.

Resort business: trade

You can trade anything at the resort: here there is a buyer for every product. To organize summer trading, you need to rent a suitable place and equip it with trading equipment. Additionally, you should consider hiring a salesperson unless the business owner plans to stand behind the counter themselves.

If you intend to sell food products, refrigeration units may be needed. Therefore, in this case, access to electricity will be necessary. For such trade, you will also have to obtain a number of special approvals and permits (for example, a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion and a list of products agreed with the SES).

Against this background, the sale of industrial goods has a number of comparative advantages:

  • it does not require electrical equipment;
  • it does not require permits that are required when selling food;
  • goods in this group are not perishable.

The level of business will depend on the amount of start-up capital invested in it. However, if you do not have any significant funds to organize your own business, do not be upset: an economy option is also suitable, in which the necessary equipment is rented and the goods are sold.

Tasty and cold? Give me two

A business selling soft drinks and ice cream is guaranteed to be successful in the summer heat. Despite the market being full, these products are always popular among both children and adults, and during the season, demand for them increases by an average of 300%. So whether you organize a small cafe or just set up a trading stall, there will be customers in any case.

Ice cream is one of the most favorite children's treats, and in the summer the most impatient queues line up for it.

In September 2017, the marketing agency DISCOVERY Research Group completed a study of the Russian ice cream market. The market volume of this delicacy in 2016 in physical terms amounted to 397.4 thousand tons, which is 13.2% more than in 2015. In the first half of 2017, the ice cream market volume was 196.2 thousand tons.

You can sell finished goods purchased in small wholesale directly from manufacturers, or you can prepare yourself, for example, freshly squeezed juices or frozen yogurt.

Low-calorie frozen yogurt is a healthy and tasty alternative to the usual ice cream, which will be appreciated by both adherents of a healthy diet and ordinary lovers of sweets. Yogurt is served with a variety of additives: syrups, berries, nuts, cookies, sweets, candied fruits. This significantly expands the product range and increases the check amount.

The main equipment for the production of frozen yogurt is a blender and a freezer. Depending on your financial capabilities, buy new or used equipment, or rent it.

For a small private business, a desktop freezer, such as the Italian Frigomat Kiss 1 Y, is suitable. Its productivity is 18 kg/h, cost is 480 thousand rubles, power is 2.4 kW.

To prepare the product you will also need a special dry mixture, water (or milk), cups and spoons. Instead of dry mixture and water, it is possible to use ready-made pastes. Sufficient area of the outlet is 4–6 sq. m.

The technological process for producing frozen yogurt is extremely simple: the dry mixture is dissolved in water using a blender and poured into a freezer, where it is whipped and enriched with air. The average cost of a portion of the product is about 25 rubles, the selling price is from 100 rubles. (for example, in the Tutti Frutti chain in September of this year, 100 g of frozen yogurt cost 145 rubles), business profitability is up to 400%.

Low-calorie frozen yogurt is tasty, healthy and very beautiful, and it will also successfully replace the usual ice cream

And if you additionally use the same freezer to produce frozen juices, which contain 90% water, the profitability will be even higher.

A plush sofa, a dummy from China and a fan from a country unknown to us

The resort trade in non-food goods is pleasing to the eye with its color and variety and traditionally includes the sale of souvenirs and beach accessories. The following are constantly popular:

  • souvenir magnets;
  • custom cups and t-shirts;
  • handmade jewelry made of wood, shells, and ornamental stones;
  • Sunglasses;
  • sunscreen cosmetics;
  • inflatable rings and mattresses;
  • masks and fins for scuba diving;
  • beach towels and bedding;
  • swimsuits and pareos.

A relatively new, but very promising position on this list is the paravan (or fansby) - a beach fence that protects from the wind and / or restless neighbors. It is a lightweight, portable screen made of windproof fabric that can be easily attached to the sand.

Paravan - a lightweight portable screen made of windproof fabric - protects from the wind on the beach and is very popular among vacationers

The profitability of trade in souvenirs and beach accessories is about 100%. This is partly due to the unspoken rule according to which the price of any product sold in the resort area (even in chain stores) contains an additional 10–15% additional markup in addition to the usual average retail price.

Let’s say you have funds in the amount of 94,000 rubles to start a small business selling souvenirs:

  • for commercial equipment (glass counter made of chipboard-5 from the Standes factory (Russia)) - 3,000 rubles;
  • for renting a place - 2,000-3,000 rubles. per month depending on the size of the city, the distance of the point from the beach and crowded places;
  • for the salary of the seller - up to 20,000 rubles. per month;
  • for other expenses (including income tax at a rate of 6%) - 8,000 rubles. per month;
  • for the purchase of goods - 60,000 rubles. per month.

With an average trade margin of 115% and a monthly sales volume of 90% of the purchase volume, monthly revenue will be 116,100 rubles; profit for the month - 22,100 rubles; The payback period for the project is one month.

But for the “souvenir” business to be stable and successful, it is necessary to offer customers a truly wide range of goods for every taste and budget, literally - from a dummy from China to a fan or at least a fan.

Resort business: service sector

The service sector, in general, promises higher income for the resort business than trade, but it also requires very significant costs.

In order to provide services to vacationers (unless these are services for the provision of housing for rent), you will need to rent a larger territory than for organizing a retail outlet. In addition, in some cases the main cost item will be the cost of the relevant equipment. True, this equipment itself, as a rule, is not energy consuming.

Relatively low-cost types of resort business in the service sector include:

  • rental of housing;
  • creation and maintenance of lockers - beach cells for storing things;
  • organizing walking or driving excursions;
  • braiding and temporary tattoos;
  • fortune telling by hand or cards.

Much more serious investments are required:

  • rental of beach equipment (sun loungers, umbrellas, air mattresses);
  • attractions on land and water (slides, trampolines, zorbs - inflatable spheres with space for a passenger inside);
  • organization of active recreation on the water (jet skiing, water skiing or inflatable banana boat).

It's nice to have a house by the sea

Perhaps only a very lazy or very rich resident of the resort area, who has free living space, does not rent it out. Renting out housing has long become a convenient source of additional income for the owner. All that is needed to organize such a business is to put the rented premises in order. The size of the rent and the income received will depend on the location of the housing and its condition.

In 2019, housing prices in the private sector of Kabardinka (Krasnodar Territory) were in the range of 750-3000 rubles. per day. Thus, owners of economy-class housing can earn from 400 US dollars per month, and in the luxury sector, the income of landlords will be several times higher (from 1,500 US dollars per month).

To increase the profit received, the landlord can offer additional services to guests:

  • transfer from/to the station;
  • served breakfasts and/or lunches;
  • washing personal items;
  • barbecue or boat rental.

Of course, competition in this business is very high. Therefore, during the preparatory stage (before the start of the season), it is necessary to pay serious attention to advertising and an active search for clients. For a newcomer to the market, it is advisable to set a price below average in order to interest potential tenants.

How much does it cost to arrange shade?

Lying in the shade on a sun lounger at the edge of the surf is not just comfortable, but very pleasant. And taking a bulky sun umbrella and an inflatable mattress with you on vacation is both unpleasant and inconvenient. Therefore, rental of beach equipment is one of the most popular and fastest-paying types of resort business.

Renting sun loungers and parasols is in high demand at resorts and allows you to quickly recoup the costs of organizing it

To organize such a business, you will need:

  • purchase the necessary equipment.

Start-up costs will be about 97,000 rubles:

  • purchase of sun loungers at a price of 5,800 rubles. per piece in the amount of 10 pieces - 58,000 rubles;
  • rent of a place - 9,000 rub. per month;
  • employee salary - 20,000 rubles. per month;
  • other expenses (including income tax at a rate of 6%) - 10,000 rubles. per month.

The cost of renting a sun lounger is 50 rubles. at one o'clock. With a ten-hour working day and a workload of 85%, monthly revenue will be 127,500 rubles; profit for the month - 88,500 rubles; The payback period for the project is one month.

And for a business to be successful, it needs to be located in a suitable place, crowded and central. Of course, there are always enough people willing to take such a place. Therefore, negotiations with the beach administration should begin long before the start of the season.

The beach equipment rental business is certainly seasonal, but potentially multi-year. And its owner should remember that in the off-season the equipment needs to be stored somewhere, and, therefore, an appropriate room will be required.

Store your money in beach safes

A good addition to the sunbed rental business can be the rental of special cells for storing things on the beach - lockers. This relatively new service has a high profit potential: just remember the lengths holidaymakers go to in order to protect valuables from thieves. And using a beach safe will allow them to finally plunge into the atmosphere of summer carefreeness.

Lockers - beach safes - allow you not to worry about the safety of valuables on vacation

To organize such a business you need:

  • secure agreements with the beach administration;
  • rent and develop the territory;
  • purchase sections with cells.

Since this service is quite new and unusual, many vacationers may view it with some distrust. Therefore, at the initial stage, it is important not to inflate the price so as not to scare away potential clients.

To set up a business you will need about 91,000 rubles:

  • for the purchase of sections for 100 cells - 59,000 rubles;
  • for renting a place - 1,000 rubles. per month;
  • for the employee's salary - 20,000 rubles. per month;
  • for other expenses, including income tax at a rate of 6% - 11,000 rubles. per month.

The cost of renting one cell is 10 rubles. at one o'clock. With a ten-hour working day and a workload of 60%, the monthly revenue will be 180,000 rubles; profit for the month - 148,000 rubles; The payback period for the project is one month.

Braid - girlish beauty

Many girls, young and not so young, like to look original. Therefore, any beauty services will always find their grateful audience.

The business of braiding hair or applying mehendi (henna body painting) requires minimal initial costs:

  • for rent and arrangement of a suitable place;
  • for the purchase of consumables.

In online stores, 105 g of henna for mehendi from the Indian brand NEHA costs 135 rubles. This amount of material is enough to paint both hands up to the elbow. The time required to complete the work is 2–3 hours (depending on the complexity of the pattern). At the same time, the cost of painting one hand from hand to elbow is 1,200 rubles. The profitability of the service is above 1700%.

With afro braids, more time is spent, and the profitability is significantly lower, but in general it also works out very well: in 4 hours of work, the master braids 100 pieces of afro braids up to the length of the shoulder blades. The cost of fiber is 900 rubles, and the cost of work is 3,000 rubles. The profitability of the service is 333%.

Summer holidays are the right time for bold beauty experiments, and afro braids are one of them.

So if you have artistic abilities, perseverance and patience - henna is in your hands! Well, and fiber for weaving afro braids.

Let's walk along Abrikosovaya, turn onto Vinogradnaya

Organizing walking tours is the absolute leader in low-cost among resort business types: you only have to spend money on legal registration of entrepreneurship and advertising. You will need to invest in the business not money, but knowledge, love for your native land, talent as a storyteller and the ability to get along with people.

In order for such a business to become successful in the presence of fierce competition, customers must not only be interested. It is necessary that no one else can show them what you are ready to show. Therefore, visiting “promoted” attractions is not suitable for you. Your routes should pass through places that even local old-timers don’t know about. Show the city from an unexpected angle, reveal its secrets to people - and it will pay off handsomely.

An effective way to attract the attention of a youth audience can be the organization of quests, during which a group of clients completes the tasks of the guide and looks for the places he has hidden.

Well, if you are ready to invest in business, then conducting excursions on Segways could be an interesting idea. These electric scooters make it easy to reach the most remote corners, they are environmentally friendly and allow you to see more interesting things than a walking tour of the same duration.

In this case, the starting capital is needed much more substantial - 1,904,200 rubles:

  • purchase of 6 used Segways with a range of up to 500 km at a price of RUB 300,000-1,800,000;
  • 6 pieces of helmets for the price of 700 rubles. per piece - 4,200 rubles;
  • other expenses (storage, charging and maintenance of Segways, advertising, taxes) - RUB 100,000.

Of the six Segways purchased, only five will generate income, since the tour guide needs one. Charging a Segway lasts for 30 km, and its rental costs an average of 200 rubles. in 5 minutes. Let's plan to conduct one four-hour excursion every day. Then the monthly revenue will be 1,440,000 rubles; profit for the month - 1,335,800 rubles; The payback period for the project is two months.

Squeals and splashes

Perhaps the noisiest and funniest type of resort business is the amusement ride business. Trampolines, water slides, zorbs can be used both on water and on land, bringing sincere joy to children and adults.

Since all these attractions do not pose a threat to human life and health, it is permissible and profitable to use inexpensive Chinese equipment that has passed the appropriate certification. Water slides and floating trampolines are inflated using a regular household vacuum cleaner or compressor, are easy and quick to install, and cost between $500 and $1,000.

To increase the attractiveness of the attraction for customers, you can equip a set of slides of different heights or install an attraction for children on the shore, and for adults - on the water.

With a service price of 50 rubles. in 10 minutes and operating mode “40 minutes per hour / 8 hours per day / every day” two water slides with a total cost of 120,000 rubles. will bring in revenue of 96,000 rubles per month. The amount of monthly costs will significantly depend on the cost of renting the territory, but even with costs of 50% of revenue (48,000 rubles per month), the payback period for the project is three months.

Even adults are hard to tear away from floating trampolines and water slides, let alone children

The main problem when organizing such a business is renting a suitable territory. It may be most convenient to place the attraction on the beach of a hotel or recreation center, as this will immediately resolve issues of safety of equipment at night and its storage during the off-season.

Risk is a noble cause

At the preparatory stage of organizing a summer business, it is very difficult to predict demand: it is unknown how many vacationers will choose this particular place for their vacation; it is unknown what the weather will be like next summer; It is unknown what resources visiting vacationers will have at their disposal. Therefore, any resort project has very high risks:

  • the risk of low or no demand;
  • risk of falling effective demand;
  • risk of rising prices for raw materials;
  • the risk of refusal to rent or increase in prices.

They are due to:

  • instability and unpredictability of consumer demand;
  • a strong degree of business dependence on external factors;
  • the increasing availability of foreign holidays;
  • economic situation in the country.

It is no secret that affordable holidays in Turkey, Egypt and Montenegro have deprived the domestic resort market of a huge number of customers. It is obvious that a rainy and cold summer can destroy the financial expectations of ice cream sellers and owners of water attractions. Of course, the level of salaries in the country will affect the amount of funds allocated by people for recreation and entertainment.

All these risks are objective and inevitable. But, unlike many other types of business, the resort business, with its profitability above 100%, can well afford these risks.

Business plan for an outlet selling frozen yogurt

Opening a retail outlet selling frozen yogurt is an interesting and highly profitable project

A typical example of calculating the economic indicators of a resort business is a business plan for an outlet selling frozen yogurt: in the same way, you can calculate the profitability and profitability of any other project.

Project Description

The goal of the project is to organize a seasonal business selling frozen yogurt in the resort area.

The frozen yogurt retail outlet will be located on a rented area of 5 square meters. m on the territory of a shopping and entertainment complex. Placement indoors minimizes the negative impact of weather conditions on business. In addition, the shopping and entertainment complex is characterized by constant high attendance by both vacationers and the local population.

One person will work at the outlet. Working hours: six days a week (except Mondays) from 12:00 to 21:00, break from 15:00 to 16:00.

Competitive risks are not significant since there are no other frozen yogurt sellers on the territory of the shopping and entertainment complex. However, to create a memorable trade image and attract customers, it is planned to use brightly branded disposable tableware, made to order.

It should be remembered that running a business without proper registration is illegal. For a resort business, it will be quite enough to obtain the status of an individual entrepreneur. The cost of the procedure is small - 800 rubles (you can pay the state fee online at the specialized service of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation). To obtain status, you need to contact the tax authority at your place of registration with an application in form No. P21001, a passport (and its copy) and a payment receipt. Registration is carried out within three working days.

Product cost

Frozen yogurt is supposed to be produced using a Frigomat KISS 1 Y freezer from the Speedy Gelato “Frozen yogurt” mixture, 1.5 kg package (Comprital, Italy). The low-fat mixture is diluted with water in the proportion of 1.5 kg of mixture per 3.5 liters of water. Thus, one package of the mixture is enough to prepare 5 kg of ready-made yogurt. The cost of one package of the mixture is 1,390 rubles.

The capacity of the freezer is 18 kg/h, therefore, it will take 17 minutes to prepare 5 kg of yogurt. With a power of 2.4 kW. h in 17 minutes the freezer will consume 0.68 kW of electricity. The cost of electricity for industry during peak hours is 5.6 rubles per 1 kW. h.

Disposable paper bowls with a volume of 200 ml will be made to order. The cost of a package of six bowls will be 2.7 rubles. when ordering from 100 pcs.

Disposable multi-colored plastic spoons made in Italy will be purchased in the online store at a price of RUB 4,840. for 6,600 pieces.

Table: calculation of the planned cost of one serving of frozen yogurt

Planned income from product sales, profit and profitability of the project

The sales plan is set at 50 servings of 100 g yoghurt per working day. The selling price of one serving of yogurt is 100 rubles. Therefore, the planned daily revenue will be 5,000 rubles, and the monthly revenue (25 working days) will be 125,000 rubles.

Then the tax rate is 6% (with a simplified taxation system) - 7,500 rubles.

The cost of products sold per month will be: 31.84 * 50 * 25 = 39,800 rubles.

Planned net profit for the month: 125,000 –39,800 – 7,500 = 77,700 rubles.

Planned profitability - 164%.

As for the payback period of the project, they will greatly depend on whether the equipment is used or rented and whether it was purchased new or used.

The resort business is risky: firstly, the number of vacationers and their preferences are constantly changing, and future consumer demand is very difficult to predict. Secondly, any resort business is highly competitive. Well, thirdly, you wouldn’t wish being so dependent on the weather even on your enemy. On the other hand, the resort business is profitable: the average vacationer is generous and open to miracles, and therefore is always ready to exchange savings for bright beads or a T-shirt with a portrait of his favorite dog. After all, beads, a T-shirt, and a cheburek of dubious origin are all parts of the blissful nirvana for which he came. And whatever the owner of the resort business does, he sells us pieces of our summer and holiday spirit. And this product will always be in demand, regardless of the level of the trade margin.
