Russia won the right to host the FIFA World Cup for the first time. Officials promise that FIFA will not regret its choice. Thanks to such an important event, Russia will radically improve the country's infrastructure and image. Large-scale improvements are expected only in its western part.

Unfortunately, global changes will not reach Irkutsk. But we can at least go and look at the event that is already being discussed so much. In the meantime, we offer a photo selection of stadium projects that will host athletes and football fans in 2018.

Moscow, Luzhniki Stadium, capacity: 89,318 spectators

Today this stadium is single object, which is ready to host World Cup football matches. It is one of the largest stadiums in the world and is the largest in Russia. Since 1998, the Luzhniki Stadium has been included in the UEFA list of five-star stadiums, and since 2008 it has been awarded the status of an “elite” UEFA stadium.

This stadium plays a major role in the upcoming World Cup 2018: it is here that the opening match and the final of the championship will be held.

To host the World Cup, the stadium will undergo a large-scale reconstruction: capacity will be increased, technical modernization will be carried out, and natural grass will appear in the stadium.

Moscow, Spartak Stadium, capacity: 46,920 spectators

One of the most famous Russian football clubs, Spartak, has never had its own stadium. Spartak's first attempt to build its own stadium was made in 1994. But for many reasons, construction did not take place.

Then, over the years, several unsuccessful attempts at construction were made again. And only with the active support of the vice-president of OJSC LUKoil and the chairman of the board of directors of the Spartak club Leonid Fedulin, construction of the stadium began in the area of the Tushinsky airfield in 2006. It is now expected that construction of the new stadium will be completed in two years. The official name of the new stadium has not yet been approved; the option “New Coliseum” is being considered.

Moscow, Dynamo stadium, capacity 45,000 spectators

This is one of the oldest stadiums in Moscow. Since 2009 it has been undergoing major reconstruction. The work is scheduled to be completed by 2016. Several old buildings included in the stadium complex will be demolished, and total area the sports part of the stadium has been expanded to 200 thousand square meters. The area of the commercial zone is planned: offices, apartments, etc. It is planned to spend almost 500 million euros on the construction of the stadium itself. VTB Bank, which owns Dynamo, is investing in this project.

Moscow region, new stadium, capacity 44,257 spectators

At first, it was planned to begin construction of a new stadium in Podolsk, but then the construction was moved to the Leninsky district of the Moscow region. So far, all that is known about this project is that the future stadium will meet all modern FIFA requirements.

Volgograd, new stadium, capacity 45,015 spectators

Very little is known about this project either. The FIFA Committee chose a project according to which the new stadium would stand on the site where the Central Stadium is currently located. This will be a modern two-tier sports facility.

Ekaterinburg, Central Stadium, capacity 44,130 spectators

The stadium has been under reconstruction since 2006. To host matches of the 2018 World Cup, its arena must be equipped with video surveillance systems, carry out the necessary telecommunications, install a video support system, and also strengthen security systems.

After reconstruction, modern mobile structures will appear in the spectator stands, allowing short term significantly increase capacity, as well as special places for people with disabilities.

Kaliningrad, new stadium, capacity 45,015 spectators

The construction of this stadium is scheduled to be completed in two years. Even before the start of the World Cup, this stadium will host the Universiade football tournament in 2013.

The technical possibility is provided for the rapid transformation of a football arena into a site for various entertainment events. The infrastructure being built next to the stadium will contain a shopping and entertainment center, a fitness and health center, a huge bowling center, a cinema and many different offices.

In order to increase the capacity, modular prefabricated structures are provided in the spectator stands, so after the 2018 World Cup the capacity of the stadium will be reduced to 25,000 spectators.

A special transport interchange is being built near the stadium. A project for the construction of additional transfer bridges is also being considered.

Rostov-on-Don, new stadium, capacity 43,702 spectators

This stadium will have to be built on the left bank of the Don River, which will have a magnificent view from the northern open stand. This newest stadium is being built according to the design of the famous Japanese architect Kise Kurokawa. Construction is taking place on the site where the Kirov Stadium, dismantled in 2007, stood.

The new stadium is specifically designed exclusively for football matches. Taking into account the weather conditions of St. Petersburg, a retractable dome is installed above the bowl of the stands, which will be supported by 8 masts. It is planned that the roof will protect the football field during bad weather. To preserve the turf of the football field, the field itself is planned to be retractable.

The name for the new stadium has not yet been approved, but the names “Gazprom-Arena”, “Zenit”, “Krestovsky” and “Primorsky” are being considered as working options. Currently, construction is financed entirely from the city budget. The construction completion dates were constantly postponed; now it is planned to finish the stadium by 2011.

A person's health largely depends on whether he plays sports. Today, very few people can afford such a hobby, since it takes quite a lot of time and costs a lot. On top of everything else, a person needs to be taught sports from childhood, and this is difficult to do when you can’t always find a free playground for a child in the city. There is only one conclusion - we need to increase the number of sports facilities. After all, if people engage in more such hobbies, they will develop an interest in sports, and they can already earn money from this.

Our company has extensive experience in developing models of various sports facilities - swimming pools, stadiums, sports grounds, etc. Here are a couple of examples of our work from the portfolio:

The construction of sports facilities is quite a troublesome task. Modern venues and stadiums must be spacious, have durable structures, and convenient communications. Most often, investors are attracted to construct such buildings, and in order to interest them, mock-ups are created. For example, a model of a sports ground made of metal, plastic or wood perfectly reflects the future structure, which allows you to understand in advance whether it will attract people's attention.

Making a stadium model means supporting sports development in your city and beyond!

Watch an interesting video with a layout of this topic:

The construction of a stadium in our time is quite expensive, if, of course, we are really talking about a high-quality structure. Before creating a project, you need to think about what size of the building will be appropriate, taking into account the expected number of visitors, where it is best to place it, and what level of comfort to choose.

Considering the dimensions of the stadium, it is difficult to imagine without a model what it will look like after construction. Moreover, attention should be paid to appearance, and the internal contents of the building, because the more attractive and better they are, the more people will come here. The stadium layout should be created only by professionals,
