Christmas decorations with acrylic paints. How to paint Christmas balls with your own hands

New Year is approaching. Do you want to decorate your Christmas tree in an original way, not “like everyone else’s”? Then your Christmas tree decorations should be original, hand-painted.

Let's try to turn ordinary store-bought toys into unusual ones. We will paint Christmas balls with an outline on the glass and acrylic paints. This technique is quite accessible for beginners! For this we will need: plain Christmas tree balls of different sizes, a contour on glass and ceramics "Decola", acrylic paints "Metallex", pony brush No. 2, varnish with glitter "Holographic silver".

First, I recommend taking a Christmas ball with a pattern and trying to practice drawing an existing image on top with a contour on the glass. Use an outline of different colors, depending on the color of the pattern fragments on the ball.

Try to make beautiful round “dots” by placing the tube with contour on the surface of the ball and pressing the tube so as to squeeze out the required amount of contour liquid. In this way, draw the pink petals of the flowers and place the yellow dots in the middle of the flowers.

Then try to follow the contour of the green leaves and fill the leaves inside with liquid. Let's hang it up to dry. Thus, I refreshed the existing drawing on the old ball and practiced working with the contour.

Now we take any Christmas tree toy and draw on it, using our imagination. For example, it is not at all difficult to draw radial stripes on a toy of this shape; the outline fits well into the concave “folds”.

Draw a “silver” outline from top to bottom, holding the toy with two fingers of your left hand from above and below. It is difficult to make a mistake here and draw a crooked line. Let's hang it up to dry. When the outline is dry, draw spots all over the toy with a lilac outline. This is such a New Year's toy!

On elongated Christmas tree decorations you can draw delicate flowers with pink petals and green leaves. First, we place the points of the petals with a pink outline in a circle.

Then, using a yellow or gold outline, we put dots in the middle of each flower.

Carefully, using a green outline, lightly pressing on the tube, draw the green leaves. The toy is ready!

You can try painting Christmas tree decorations with acrylic paints using a thin brush. For beginners, I recommend taking a toy of such a shape that simple flat components, for example, squares, stand out on its surface. Using Metallex acrylic paints we will draw squares on the “equator” of the Christmas ball.

Let it hang dry. Then you can use a brush to cover the ball with acrylic varnish with glitter. The result was something “cosmic”!

Imagine, come up with drawings and make original New Year's balls with your own hands!

As you can see, the complexity has increased significantly. But you can practice gradually increasing your skill.

New Years is soon! We invite you to learn how to paint Christmas tree balls yourself. After all, there is nothing better than exclusive hand-painted Christmas tree decorations!

For this you will need:

acrylic paint for glass and ceramics “Decola”, acrylic primer, contours on glass or fabric “Decola”, thin brushes, sponge, a little skill in painting with paints.

Let's take a Christmas ball without a pattern.

Then, using a sponge, apply white acrylic paint (or acrylic primer) to the entire ball using gentle tamponing movements.

We hang the painted ball to dry. Acrylic paints dry quickly, so within an hour and a half our ball is ready for painting.

If the acrylic coating turns out to be transparent, coat the ball with white acrylic paint twice.

So, the ball is ready for painting. Let's draw a drawing on the ball with a simple pencil. Pencil marks are clearly visible on the white acrylic coating. You can take the drawing from any postcard, napkin, or come up with it yourself. I draw a funny snowman in a hat near the Christmas trees. I saw the drawing on a napkin and I really liked it!

After the outline of the drawing is drawn in pencil, we begin to color the drawing using acrylic contours on the glass. The contours on the fabric also fit very well on the glass.

The outline on glass or fabric can be used with or without a nozzle (then acrylic paint from a tube can be applied with a brush). I outline the design on the glass with a nozzle and fill the outlined space with the same acrylic paint using a brush. Acrylic paints can be mixed on a palette or in a small jar, or diluted with water.

So, using a brush, I filled the snowman's hat and mittens with red acrylic paint, and yellow - the bow. While the paint on the snowman’s hat and mittens is drying, I outline the Christmas trees with a green outline with a nozzle. Now I paint the branches of the fir trees with a thin brush.

We apply the paint gradually, filling the fields of the same color or shade. For example, while I am painting fir trees, the rest of the painted fields are drying.

I will paint snowballs on the Christmas trees with white acrylic, and Christmas tree decorations with red acrylic.

I will paint shadows on the snowman and fir trees with a brush, mixing blue and white paint. I’ll finish using black acrylic to trace the outline of the snowman with a brush and draw the “face.”

The finishing touches remain and the snowman is ready. Try, fantasize and don’t be afraid to ruin anything, because painting with acrylic paints can fix everything!

Dip the tips of a hard brush into the paint. Pinch the bristles with your fingers closer to the ends, flattening the brush itself a little. This method will increase the captured area when applying strokes. Run the brush over the ball using rough strokes.

The most effective combination is when strokes of gold or silver paint are attractively drawn on a dark ball.

Painting a ball using a sponge stencil.

First you need to make a stencil from a sponge. Cut it into any shape, dip it in gold or silver acrylic paint. Now stamp it (place stamps) on the surface of the ball. Decorate the entire ball.

If you use two colors, you can make a small overlap of one stencil on the other. Leave the ball to dry. Apply a random pattern using an acrylic outline.

This master class is dedicated to a Christmas tree ball, which is made in Decoupage technique.

For the New Year's painted ball we will need:

  • plastic ball;
  • napkin with a New Year's pattern;
  • scissors with a thin blade;
  • sponge;
  • thin brush for paints;
  • fan tassel;
  • synthetic brush for varnish;
  • white construction paint;
  • whitewash;
  • acrylic paints;
  • pearlescent acrylic paints;
  • sandpaper;
  • PVA glue;
  • decoupage varnish;
  • container with water;
  • contours on glass;
  • silver sparkles;
  • a stick to hold the ball;
  • decorative ribbon 2.5 cm wide;
  • narrow silver ribbon 1 cm wide;
  • Lurex thread;
  • pin;
  • glue "Moment";
  • semolina.

From a variety of napkins, choose any one you like with a pattern that suits your ball size.

We cut out the necessary fragments from a three-layer napkin.

Before applying the pattern to the ball, it must be primed; we will do this with white construction paint using a sponge. We prime the ball with five layers and be sure to dry each applied layer. You can speed up the drying process with a hairdryer.

To make it convenient to hold the ball while painting, we recommend putting it on any stick or old knitting needle. We cover the ball twice with acrylic white paint - whitewash. Let's dry it.

The surface of the ball should be smooth, without roughness that could tear the thin layer of napkin when gluing.

We wipe the ball from “colorful” dust. Prepare the glue by diluting the PVA with water 1:1. Separate the top layer from the cut out fragments.

We apply it to the ball and glue it with a fan brush. Fill the Christmas tree ball with New Year's motifs and wait for it to dry.

We cover the motif with varnish. Dry with a hairdryer. We look at what colors are present in the pattern and select paints. We cover the boy's T-shirt, ribbon, envelope and the bear's eyes with blue. We shade the gift box and glove with green mother-of-pearl.

So that the glued plot from a napkin does not seem like an appliqué, we paint. We apply red paint, thereby making this color in the drawing juicy.

We use yellow mother-of-pearl to shade the ribbons on gift boxes and everything else where it is present. From the photo you can see how the drawing is transformed, it becomes realistic.

Using brown pearlescent paint we paint the hairs on the teddy bear, creating the illusion of volume.

For the background we need blue paint To obtain it, mix white and blue paints. We paint over the ball; in hard-to-reach places, be careful not to cover up the illustration.

New Year's decoupage- the most fabulous decor of objects. While our ball is drying, we mix the snow. In a small jar, mix PVA glue, whitewash, and semolina. We add white paint to semolina snow wasn't beige.

Stir thoroughly and see what is missing, the composition of the snow should be the consistency of sour cream, in which there is a spoon. Since our ball is made in blue, white snow will not go well with it, so we add a little blue paint to it, which should have been left over from the background.

Having mixed well, apply it in a thin layer to the bottom of the ball, pretending that the boy and the teddy bear are standing in the snow.

We try to ensure that the snow falls in an uneven layer and slightly resembles snowdrifts.

On the wrong side of the ball, on a blue background, we make small snowflakes, simulating falling snow. For greater expressiveness of the whole “winter story” we take gold, red and green contours with glitter on glass. We paint the ball with them, creating shine and volume to things.

We coat our miracle ball with varnish twice. Dry with a hairdryer.

To make the snow sparkle and shimmer more, we take out silver sparkles, dip the tip of a thin brush in decoupage varnish and dry glitter, quickly transfer it to the ball, trying to distribute them so that there is no heap. You can silver the colorful image itself a little, but the main thing is not to overdo it! Apply another thin layer of varnish and let dry.

We cut 35-37 cm from a decorative ribbon with metal inclusions, 20 cm from a narrow silver one, fold it into a bow and fasten it with a pin.

Meanwhile, we fold the lurex thread three times with a total length of 25 cm, cut it off and secure the folded bow with it. We hide the end of the thread and cut it off.

Glue the bow to the balloon pendant. Hot melt glue or super “Moment” are suitable for this purpose.
