This is the first appointment of the new CEO Vyacheslav Murugov to the team.

The team at STS Media began to renew itself: Svetlana Fefilova, a former top manager of ProfMedia, was appointed deputy of the new general director Vyacheslav Murugov for operational development. Liliya Omasheva, who previously held this position, left the company following former CEO Yuliana Slashcheva.

A friend of hers told Kommersant about Svetlana Fefilova’s appointment at STS Media. An interlocutor close to the company confirmed that she has been appointed deputy general director for operational efficiency and operational development. An acquaintance of Ms. Fefilova adds that the company’s back office, including financial and legal areas, may actually come under her management.

For the last year, Ms. Fefilova worked as the executive director of the Pronto Media holding (manages the publications “From Hand to Hand”, Job.ru, etc.), and before that she worked for 12 years in the structures of ProfMedia. She worked at ProfMedia for several years under the supervision of Olga Paskina, who now runs the National Media Group, whose owners control a blocking stake in STS Media. Svetlana Fefilova combined the positions of executive vice president of Profmedia TV, which managed the Pyatnitsa, TV-3 and 2x2 channels, and general director of ProfMedia Business Solutions, a structure that provided legal and administrative support these assets.

Previously, the functions of the operating director were performed by Liliya Omasheva, the former general director of SUP Media, who came to the company at the invitation of Yuliana Slashcheva in 2013. She had to develop new directions, look for ways to optimize procurement and business processes. Ms. Slashcheva left the company a month ago, giving up the position of general director to Vyacheslav Murugov, the former general producer of STS Media and the former general director of its flagship TV channel. Currently, Liliya Omasheva does not work in the holding company, Kommersant’s interlocutor confirms.

Vyacheslav Murugov will have to regain STS's audience and market share, which declined while the company was in the process of being sold last year. Due to restrictions on foreign ownership, CTC Media shareholders, including the Swedish MTG, were forced to sell the holding. In December, YuTV acquired 75% of the Russian and Kazakh business of the holding, the remaining 25% remains with the Telcrest structures of Yuri Kovalchuk and his partners. In May, NASDAQ announced the delisting of CTC Media, Inc.
