Immediately after the resignation of Ilyin, one of the main contenders for the post of head of the department began to be called Viktor Kovalenko, who holds the position of deputy head of the UGIBDD and is responsible in the capital's department for the fight against theft, theft and other crime related to cars.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, a meeting of the public council at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow was held, during which Kovalenko, who had already taken office, spoke about his plans and tasks in his new post.
