New Year's earrings made of polymer clay. Earrings “Christmas balls” made of polymer clay

Making jewelry from polymer clay- a very popular hobby today. Making beads and earrings is not at all difficult, the process takes little time, and the result is amazing. You feel like a real jeweler, ready to create an original item for any event. Try making earrings from polymer clay for the New Year. They will be a great gift for your sister or friend, or they will allow you to look original and festive.

Master class: choosing materials and tools

If you are not yet a very experienced sculptor, then let's look at the material. Polymer clay is a thermoplastic, that is, a material resembling plasticine in consistency, easily accepting the required form and hardening in the oven. You can purchase clay of the color you need in the online store. The most popular products are Fimo from Eberhard Faber. There is a softer one - Soft and a traditional one - Classic.

If you start working with polymer clay, you will also need to purchase a glass work surface, blades and needles, glue, etc.

Now it's time to think about what our earrings will look like on New Year. First, choose a design that matches the theme of the holiday. Christmas tree earrings or candy canes will look cute. These are easy to make. To create Christmas trees we will need:

  • Green polymer clay
  • Thin and thick blades
  • Needle
  • Rings and hooks
  • Printable template

As you can see, you will need few materials.

Master class: making a Christmas tree

First, find a beautiful template for our Christmas tree on the Internet and print it. It is better if the paper is thick, because it will be easier to work with in the future.

We cut out our stencil and begin to create from polymer clay.
Roll out the plate to the thickness you require, remember that the product should not be too thin, best option- 0.5 cm. Now attach our stencil to the material and lightly press it into the mass. Take a thicker blade and carefully cut the tree along the outline. Remember that the two earrings must be absolutely symmetrical. Now let's make a hole in the top of the tree. After drying, we will insert a fastener into them.
Our New Year's earrings are almost ready, but to harden them, we will place the product in the oven. Carefully read the instructions on the plate with polymer clay: how long and at what temperature the heat treatment is carried out.
When the earrings have hardened, you should wait until they cool completely. After this, the craft can be coated with water-based varnish, which will add durability and prevent the colors from fading. We insert rings into the holes on which we will attach the earrings, that is, the lock-hook. Now our New Year's earrings are completely ready.

If you are more experienced in working with polymer clay, the product will seem too boring. If you want to decorate the product, you will need a little more materials, skills and time.
Additionally purchase:

  • Multi-colored polymer clay
  • Liquid plastic
  • Sequins, glitters

After you have cut out the trees from green clay, knead the white clay and mix it with liquid plastic until creamy. Use colorful polymer to create small balls that you attach to the tree. Using white gel, start drawing on a green surface; the design should resemble fluffy white snow lying on the branches of a tree. Attach miniature ones to the snowball Christmas decorations. The final stage is glitter scattered over the entire surface of the product. After this you can bake it. Now your earrings look truly festive and bright.
Which version of the product you choose depends on you; in any case, with such decoration you will be unique.

You won't find anything more unusual. This wonderful hand-made decoration will delight your beautiful ladies, little princesses, or if you are one of the fair sex, then make this miracle for yourself and you will not go unnoticed. We will make funny and cute earrings from polymer clay for the upcoming fabulous and magical holiday - New Year. You and the person you are going to give this unforgettable gift to will be delighted! These beautiful snowmen can also be used to decorate the interior.

To work you need:

  • Polymer clay (baked): white, red, black, orange
  • Toothpicks
  • Utility knife or blade
  • Work surface (glass, sheet of paper or ceramic tile)
  • Wet wipes
  • Fimo varnish (or any other special varnish for polymer clay)
  • Glue (moment)
  • Schwenz
  • Connecting rings
  • Pins with an eye

Step-by-step instruction

Before starting work, we will give you advice: before starting to make our decoration, you must thoroughly wipe your hands with wet wipes or wash them with soap in order to avoid contamination of the polymer clay. It very strongly attracts dust, dirt, various lint, etc. We do the same thing every time we move to a different color.

  1. Let's move on to making our unusual earrings. Let's start with white clay. Take and knead the polymer clay in your hands until it becomes soft and pliable. Then we will divide it into two identical pieces (since there will be 2 earrings). Roll the separated material into balls.
  2. From the resulting balls we will make two more. One larger (for the bottom of the snowman), the second larger (for the snowman's head). We try to roll equal balls so that the earrings are the same size.
  3. We connect two balls (large and small) by overlapping each other, attaching them to each other. We perform similar actions with the second pair.
  4. And so, the basis for our beautiful snowmen is ready. Let's start making hats for them. Take red polymer clay. We roll out small red circles, then stretch each circle a little, creating the shape of a small cone or drop.
  5. In order for our hats to be put on the snowmen’s heads, we stick a toothpick into the center of our cone. You don’t need to stick it all the way through, but simply create a hole so that you can then put hats on our beauties. You will get two identical red caps, which will then serve as an excellent addition to the figures.
  6. Now we put our hats on the snowmen's heads. Next step: roll out two thin strips of red clay.
  7. To decorate our resulting hats, we attach our red stripes along the edges. Cut off the excess strips with a knife.
  8. Take a toothpick and add volume to the edges of the hats. Using precise movements, we loosen the edging and give it a certain texture.
  9. Let's start making cute faces for our snowmen. Let's take orange polymer clay to create noses - carrots. Roll two small balls out of clay. Flatten these balls a little to get a cone or droplet shape (elongated). We made our little carrots.
  10. In the next step we glue our carrots to the faces of the snowmen. Right under the cap rim.
  11. Let's return to our hats. Let's take white polymer clay again, roll two small balls, which we will then use as pompoms. We attach the rolled balls to the end of each snowman's hat. In the same way as the edging of the hats, we give the pom-poms a loose texture. Take a toothpick and use point movements along the entire perimeter of the pompom. The three-dimensional effect is ready, the hats look real and warm.
  12. Let's dress our snowmen in scarves. Because New Year is winter time, we won’t let them freeze. Take red polymer clay. Roll out two strips and flatten them a little with a toothpick or your hands.
  13. Now we put our scarves on the snowmen, create a loose texture using the method described earlier (with a toothpick).
  14. Next we finish the faces. Roll two small balls of black clay and attach.
  15. We roll two more small black balls (peas) and decorate the fur coat of our snowmen. Our snowmen are fully prepared and decorated.
  16. Now we insert a pin with an eye into the top of the hat, on which our decoration will be held.
  17. Let's move on to finishing our work. We bake our beauties in the oven. When baking, you need to follow the instructions on the clay packaging. For example, for German polymer clay Fimo, 20-30 minutes are needed at a temperature of no more than 110 C.
  18. After we baked our snowmen, we take them out and wait until they cool down. We cover them with varnish (preferably special for polymer). Now we wait for the varnish to dry. Take Moment or universal glue of your choice and glue the pins.
  19. And the very final stage - we attach the earrings to our snowmen.

We have completed the production of our beautiful and unusual earrings - Snowmen. They will be an unforgettable gift and decoration. You can change the colors and make snowmen with blue or green scarves and hats. Use them as Christmas tree decorations or decorative elements. Good luck, you're done unusual thing, which everyone will be happy with, and which will look great everywhere!

If you don’t yet know what gift to give your friend or niece for the New Year, then take a closer look at products made from polymer clay. Jewelry made from this material will be an excellent gift. Firstly, they are exclusive, and secondly, they can be created with your own hands, which makes them simply priceless.

New Year's earrings

Any woman can wear polymer clay earrings for the New Year, especially since today you will find many options for such jewelry on different themes.

So, for the New Year's celebration in 2015, earrings in the form of sheep and goats are suitable, because the Goat (Sheep) is a symbol of the coming year. You can also wear earrings in the shape of Christmas trees and Santa Claus hats. In addition, if your suit matches earrings in the form of flowers or circles, then they will also be in place.

If you want to make your own jewelry from polymer clay, then you will need the following tools:

  • polymer clay in several colors
  • special glue
  • sharp knife
  • rolling pin
  • toothpicks
  • gloves
  • sandpaper
  • accessories for jewelry (molds)
  • oven for drying the product

Remember: creating jewelry from such a plastic material as polymer clay is a process that requires maximum imagination, attention and perseverance. If you want your New Year's earrings to turn out beautiful, you will have to work hard.

Master class on polymer clay

Let's take a closer look at the process of creating earrings:

Step 1

Let's prepare workplace. Lay out all the materials and tools on the table so that you feel as comfortable as possible when working with them.

Step 2

Create a layout of the desired decoration. Before you start, you need to know what kind of earrings you want to see in the end.

Step 3

Knead the polymer clay in your hands for one to two minutes. It is important that it becomes soft like plasticine, and you can safely give it any desired shape.

If you don't have clay of the color you want, don't despair. For example, do you need a beige shade? Then take a large piece of white clay and a small piece of brown or terracotta. If these two colors are thoroughly kneaded, they will mix with each other and will have the beige shade you need. You can do the same with any other color.

Step 4

We give shape to each element of the product. If you need small parts, then form them from small balls of clay using all the tools at hand.

Step 5

When we already have our decoration in a molded form, we proceed to baking it. You can use a regular oven as an oven. Kitchen baking dishes will also come in handy. The temperature at which you should keep the clay in the oven and the baking time are always on the packaging.

Step 6

After baking, you need to degrease the clay using any detergent. Next, we sand all the irregularities and prints. This process is easy to carry out using regular sandpaper.

On the eve of the New Year, we are all waiting for a miracle, the fulfillment of desires and are simply in a hurry to complete unfinished tasks in order to exhale and step into the new year with new strength. But we must not forget about the holiday itself. Why not make a bright, symbolic decoration with your own hands and celebrate the New Year in it?

In this tutorial you will see how to make earrings from polymer clay " Christmas balls» do it yourself

To work you will need:

- polymer clay (I use white, gray and red);
- acrylic paint;
- brush;
- glue moment;
- blade;
- rolling pin or pasta machine (if there are no special tools, you can use a glass object with a smooth surface, for example, a glass);
- varnish for polymer clay;
- sparkles.

How I make “Christmas balls” earrings from polymer clay

I knead white and gray polymer clay. I roll it into a sausage, cut it off and form balls. The approximate size of the ball is 1 cm.

Why did I use plastic of different colors for the base? If you use glitter in dark shades, they look better on a dark base. Light - on light.

By the way, you can also make a Teddy bear from multi-colored polymer clay.

I string the ball onto a toothpick and drop it into a jar of glitter. I twist the toothpick in a circle so that the glitter covers the entire surface without voids.

The balls can be rolled in your palms. Then the glitter will stick to the surface better. But don't forget to wash your hands after each color so as not to mix them with each other.

I knead the red polymer clay and roll it out to an approximate thickness of 2 mm.

I cut off the uneven edges of the layer and cut it into thin, identical strips, from which I will make bows for “New Year’s balls” polymer clay earrings. I fold the ends of the strip into the center, forming a bow, and press the edges to secure them together.

I cut a thinner strip and glue it to the middle of the bow, pressing it with a stack (or a toothpick), thus fixing the two halves of the bow.

I cut the remaining end of the thin strip in the middle. You get small bow tails.

I glue the bow to the center of the ball, in the place where I left the hole from the toothpick. I press the bow with my fingers. Taking care not to damage its shape. I insert a toothpick into the middle of the bow to make a hole for the pin.
I send the bows to bake at the temperature indicated on the polymer clay packaging (I bake for 10 minutes at 130 degrees).
I take out the balls and, before they cool down, remove them from the toothpicks. Since it will be very difficult to do this when it cools down.

I take a thin brush (you can use a toothpick) and acrylic paint. I draw white and blue polka dots on the bows.

I put the future “Christmas balls” earrings made of polymer clay back on toothpicks and cover them with varnish to fix the glitter and acrylic paint on the surface.

I dip the pin in glue. I also drop glue into the center of the hole and insert a pin. I press it with my fingers for a few seconds to secure the pin with the ball.

I bite off the head with pliers. I bend the tail of the pin to the side and use round pliers to twist it into a loop.

Maintaining the pre-holiday mood, we decided to tell you about several ways on how you can make your own decorations for the New Year, in particular earrings in the shape of snowflakes made from special materials.

Earrings made of polymer clay - method one

Don't be scared by the fact that it is proposed to use polymer clay; this method is so simple that even a beginner can handle it.

White, a roller for rolling clay (metal or silicone), a painted snowflake, a cutter, a needle, a work surface (it can be glass or ceramic tiles, the main thing is that they have a smooth surface), silver acrylic paint, a nail file (sandpaper).

Work progress:

1. Knead the polymer clay to a very soft state, roll it out with a roller into a layer approximately 1 or 1.5 cm thick. In this case, it must be rolled out immediately on the surface on which it will be baked in the oven.

2. We place the snowflake pattern face down on the clay and roll it out a little with a roller so that it “transfers” to the clay (it’s good if it’s a printed pattern). We leave the paper in this position for 2 minutes so that the paint imprints better, and then carefully remove the paper from the surface of the clay.

3. We take a thin cutter and slowly cut out the snowflake along the contours. This must be done extremely carefully, since later errors will be impossible to correct.

4. Also, don’t forget to make a small hole at one end of the snowflake, through which it will then be attached to the earring ring. After this, the clay can be baked (how to do it correctly, at what temperature and for how long will be written on the clay packaging).

5. Then, when the product is baked, we cool it and begin polishing.

6. In this case, the author of this method, Olga Solntseva, advises using a cotton pad rather than a brush to apply paint, since with its help you can achieve a more uniform application. Make sure that the paint lies tightly on both sides of the snowflake.

8. Now the snowflake can be attached to the ring of the earring. That's it, the accessory is ready for the New Year!

Earrings made of polymer clay - method two

Anyone who already knows a little how to work with polymer clay will appreciate next option making holiday earrings.

Required materials and tools: again - this is the base, as well as pearl powder and varnish for polymer clay, sugar or salt, liquid polymer clay (optional), work surface, jewelry pins, ruler, brush, toothpicks, pliers and round nose pliers.

Work progress:

1. As always, we start by kneading the clay. Then we make a sausage out of it and roll it out until it becomes very thin, about 2 mm in diameter. It is very important that it is as even as possible along its entire length; this determines how neat the decoration will turn out.

2. Now cut the clay into three equal parts. Their length should be the same as how big you want to make the snowflake. IN in this example, author Starkova Ekaterina decided to stop at a length of 3 cm. After this, the three resulting pieces must be molded into a snowflake, fastening them together in the middle.

3. Next, we make many small balls from clay, their diameter should also be 2-3 mm. We stick them to the base of the snowflake as shown in the photo. This is done using a toothpick or a stack. Very important: if you see that the clay has already lost its plasticity, lubricate the places where the balls are attached with liquid clay.

4. Since our snowflake has a complex pattern, we form 5 more thin flagella from clay, 1 or 1.5 cm long. They must be glued between the main lines of the product so that they form arcs located between two adjacent rays.

5. In order to complete the pattern, we attach one more ball to the middle of each arc, and also do not forget to make a hole on one of the rays in order to then attach the product to a special ring. To do this, make one last small ball, crush it into a cake and glue it securely to the beam. Poke a hole with a toothpick.

6. Next, you need to roll four more, but larger balls. So, two of them should have a diameter of 1.3 cm, and the other two should have a diameter of 0.7 cm. They must be rolled in sugar or salt so that the surface acquires a beautiful relief shape.

7. Now, you need to string four balls onto jewelry pins and send them to bake along with the finished snowflakes. After they are baked, they must be placed in water for 10 minutes to melt the sugar (or salt).

8. Let's return to our snowflakes. After baking, they must be painted with a special varnish for polymer clay. However, to give them shine, you can mix it with a little pearl powder. For convenience, insert a toothpick into the holes in the snowflakes and, holding it, paint the product on both sides.

9. After leaving the snowflakes to dry, take the balls and bend the ends of the pins into loops using pliers. It is clear that if their length is longer than necessary, then the excess must be cut off. Connect two balls together.

10. Now we attach snowflakes to the balls. Then we attach the hook to the upper element. The earring is ready. The other one is assembled in exactly the same way. These earrings will be a wonderful addition to your wardrobe or an original gift on New Year's Eve.
