Irrigation fog device. Artificial fog system for "street cooling"

It is known for certain that no plant can do without water. This leads to the conclusion that all gardeners and gardeners need to periodically water their land plots. How can this be done in the best way, so that there is more benefit for plants and with less human and material resources. Practice shows that all these conditions are fully satisfied by drip irrigation. The use of this type of irrigation helps to save water, preserve and improve the soil structure, reduces the labor intensity and time of the owner of the site, and eliminates water starvation in plants.

The technology of the drip irrigation system is simple and effective. It consists in the following: water flows directly to each plant under the very roots constantly or at certain intervals in small portions. Therefore, you can water even in the hottest weather without fear of damaging the leaves of plants, the water is absorbed in full, the incoming water is warm, as it has time to heat up while moving through the tubes, there is no need to rush around the area with hoses.

Initially, before installing the irrigation system, it is necessary to draw a planting plan very accurately. This is necessary for counting required material. As the latter, you will need: hoses or tubes, up to 20 mm in diameter, ordinary medical droppers, plugs and filters (you can use pieces of foam rubber, they are easy to change and clean), plastic two-liter bottles.

Tubes or hoses are cut to the required length and assembled according to plan into the system. For better job you can make them 6 - 8 meters long and give them a slope of about 5 cm per meter of length. Holes are made in the planned places and droppers are connected. Having collected everything, they check the performance of the entire system. For better control, you need to raise everything above the ground.

After that, the plants are planted directly under each dropper. As the practice of using these systems with a slow water supply shows, it comes well from the very first holes, and little or no water reaches the last ones. Therefore, it is best to supply water in portions. To do this, make a dispenser.

The dispenser is made from plastic bottle. It works like a toilet drain and fill system. The bottle is hung with the neck to the bottom, a hole is cut in the lid and the tube is tightly inserted. Inside the bottle, we bend the siphon from the tube, its end is at the very neck, and the loop is at the bottom. We insert another tube for the water supply into the bottom and make a small slot for the outflow of air.

If several tubes are installed in the system, then it is wiser to also use another bottle of the same volume. It will distribute water through the channels. To provide the system with water for a long period, it is better to use a large volume stationary tank. It must be installed at the highest point and even raised a couple of meters. To prevent water from blooming, the container is covered, preventing the sun and light from entering.

Also, for manual control of the irrigation process, you can install a tap, stopping watering when necessary. In order to avoid malfunctions in the system, you need to remember its shortcomings and prevent them in time. The main inconvenient moment is the constant control. After all, with an excess of water, there is an overrun and erosion of the land, and if the supply is stopped, the death of plants and loss of crops is possible. For this reason, long trips are not recommended.

Also, due to the gravity principle of water supply, it is possible to clog the droppers of the system, since their cross section is very small. This disadvantage is eliminated by blowing or washing the clogged parts. It is not recommended to increase the holes, as there will be an overrun of water and the possibility of stopping the supply to the last droppers. This drawback can be eliminated by installing a filter at the beginning of the system and replacing it periodically.

At the end of the irrigation season, it is best to dismantle the drip irrigation system, remove residual water and dry thoroughly. You can store parts in a poorly heated room, or, as an option, directly on the site, having previously dug a little with soil.

Today, fogging systems are widely used in the design of recreation areas, industrial facilities and greenhouses.

In this article, we will take a closer look at work principles installation data.

1. Convert water to mist

The fogger is an installation high pressure(25 and above atmospheres), which includes a pump, a pipe system with nozzles, a pressure gauge, water filters, blocking and automation devices.

From the water supply source, water enters the pump, in which a pressure of about 60 - 100 bar is created, then it is fed through a system of pipes to nozzles with nozzles. Due to this high pressure, ultra-fine (5 microns), rapidly evaporating water particles are formed, which creates a lightning-fast evaporation effect comparable to the effect of natural fog.

2. Mist spray

Mist can be sprayed in two ways: through nozzles or through fans with built-in nozzles.

First option is a linear system with nozzles that are equipped with anti-drip valves. This prevents the mist from collecting into droplets when the water pressure drops. Its main advantage is the ease of installation and configuration.

Second option will become indispensable for places where there is no natural movement of air; the water cloud is evenly sprayed over the entire cooling object. Fans can be placed on walls, ceilings or structural frames.

3. Management of fogging system

Management is carried out both manually and automatically using the controller.

In addition to the control unit (a pump is connected to it), the controller includes humidity sensors (hygrometers), compare the air humidity readings with the required values (entered manually) and control the operation of the pump.

4. Service

It consists in the periodic cleaning of nozzles and filters, in addition, the pump must be checked annually. The inspection includes changing filters and oil. Filters may need to be replaced after 500 hours of operation. In the conditions of the Ukrainian winter, the system is subject to conservation.

We select the nozzle for the normal operation of the fog system

The nozzles spray water, and the higher the pressure, the finer the dispersion of the fog.

Water spraying is carried out in the form of:

  • fine cloud (the most effective),
  • hollow cone,
  • uniform continuous beam (the least efficient way).

What type of equipment to choose?

  • low pressure system (2.5-6 kgf/cm 2)

This type is the cheapest, because. it is allowed to use PVC pipes with low pressure plastic nozzles. Flaw: The surroundings get wet.

  • medium pressure system (about 15 kgf/cm 2)

In these systems, a pump is already required to increase the pressure. This is a good alternative to high pressure systems. Great for climates with hot and dry air.

  • high pressure system (up to 100 kgf/cm 2)

The most preferred type, since produces high-quality fine mist, the particles of which are able to instantly evaporate.

2 factors that affect the efficiency of foggers

The overall efficiency of the system is affected by temperature and humidity. Ideal for the operation of the installation are:

- air temperature: from 29 to 45 about C,

- humidity: 40% to 80%.

Moreover, the more liquid is involved, the stronger the cooling effect will be.

To make the fogger last longer

How long your mist system will last depends on the quality of the water. The cleaner and softer the water, the better for the equipment. Water treatment is carried out using special membrane filters, chemicals and electromagnetic softeners. The last method is the most efficient and profitable.

Tell friends.

Hello! Today we will talk about the fog irrigation system. The idea to purchase this set for myself arose when visiting Rosa Khutor, who was there in summer time near McDuck, will understand what in question. And who was not, welcome under the cut, and there about everything in order.
So what is it? So, there was such a canopy-fungus, approximately the following design.

After that, I wanted one for myself. Our summer in central Russia has gone pretty hot))) At first, my husband and I tried to figure out how much it would cost to assemble such a structure on our own with separate components. Entering the store (a fairly well-known brand that is famous for its low prices and acceptable quality), realized that it would be very expensive separately. For example, the price of one (!) jet nozzle (I will show it as an example in my review) was 175 rubles. And you need at least 10 of them per gazebo in a circle, if you rarely let them in, not to mention a fitting, hose, adapter, etc. And, if for watering, then it generally costs a pretty penny.
I found it on the Internet with an acceptable price, and with this newchic678 coupon (he gives a 20% discount on the entire range in the garden and home section), the price is quite good.
Let's start. The parcel went 2.5 weeks, the track was tracked at every stage. Parcel weight 0.617 kg. It was packed simply - without any bubble oilcloths, and this is not necessary.

Further, the whole set is packed in a plastic bag.

Well, that's actually the whole set.

What does it include.
1. Black plastic hose, 20 m long. Easy to bend, strong enough.

2. The diameter of the hose, as you can see, is small - 0.7 cm.

3. Jet nozzles - 20 pieces.

4. The jet nozzles in this kit are for fog spraying, i.e. the smallest. But you can choose others and take several different ones in bulk.

5. On both sides of the nozzles there are tube-holes for connecting with a hose and water supply.

6. O-ring adapter.

7. An adapter with a lamb clamp for sealing the main hose.

8. Fumlenta

9. Plastic ties - 20 pcs. for fastening.

So, let's assemble the adapter for the hose

Here's what we got

In order for us to put an adapter on the hose for the main water supply (from the water supply to the small hose), we needed a fitting (it was not included in the kit, but maybe not everyone will need it).

Now we have everything fully assembled and ready to attach to the water hose

To prevent leaks, tighten with a lamb clamp.

First, we will measure the hose by a meter in order to put on the nozzles. After that, you can do it less often, but because you need to cut it completely, let's try it for now. We can always do less

Now we cut the hose to fix the nozzle - jet.

We cut completely, because it is worn on both sides.

The included hose is strong enough and sits very tightly, ideally warm it up with a hair dryer, but we didn’t take it with us.

Here's what happened

As you can see, the jet nozzle can be easily removed.

And put another one (here is the one that I bought for comparison).

We put on 6 pieces to start, that's what happened

Now we put the hose on the adapter

The connection is complete

But the question of the plug at the end of the hose has not been thought out, so far we have decided to fix it like this

Let's try how this design will cope with watering in a greenhouse. Attach it to the top. For now, we will not use the ties from the kit, because we are not fixing it permanently.

The main water supply hose was attached to the wall at the entrance to the greenhouse.

Irrigation turned out fine, like fog, but you can see it in the photo

Depending on the pressure, the irrigation area changes. I have a bed in the region of 1.5 m, so the pressure turned on a little and that's enough

One meter between nozzles - jets is enough to cover the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe bed.

Shallow irrigation is the most correct, it does not allow clogging the earth and the roots are fed in abundance. My peppercorns are happy)))

But another nozzle, despite the weak pressure, sprays 2.5 meters on the sides with a thin stream of water.

Now let's try to transfer our design to the gazebo.

For an arbor, it is better to make nozzles less often, but we have not yet decided where we will leave this design in the end, so we will not cut it, but I will simply show it like this with an example.

Refreshes))))
This is what the hair looks like after spraying

Using other nozzles, you can put the hose on the ground and water the entire garden.

Let me summarize. I liked it, it did not cause trouble and came together with fastening to the right place in 15 minutes. Lightweight and easy to handle. Can be used for various purposes. If we talk about the spray area, then everything depends on the pressure and nozzles, but this is within a radius of 1 m to 6 m from exactly one nozzle. build up right size possible at any time. There was a question about the plug at the end, etc. we have water from a pond (there is garbage from the reservoir in it, and the nozzles are small and can quickly clog) you need to put a mesh on the main hose. And for complete relaxation, you can set a timer for watering. The price of this newchic678 coupon (-20%) is good.
Thank you all for your attention! Have a good harvest and have a good time))))
