“Soap bubble, the most unusual and fascinating phenomenon”

Soap bubbles are a thin multilayer film of soapy water filled with air, usually in the form of a sphere with an iridescent surface. This fun has been known since ancient times and attracts both children and adults. Soap bubbles usually last only a few seconds and burst when touched or spontaneously.

Everyone knows that soap bubbles evoke positive emotions not only in children, but also in adults. This unforgettable and exciting spectacle can bring excitement to any holiday. It is especially interesting to take a direct part in the creation of a fairy tale. Let's reveal a few secrets of creating bubbles that will be useful to you.

1. “Making soap bubbles”

Together with children we make liquid for soap bubbles:

100ml water, 100ml dishwashing detergent, 2 tsp. sugar (you can add a little glycerin).

Using various objects we blow bubbles (cocktail straw, wire loop, hands, etc.).

2. "Bubble Shape"

Take the wire and cut several pieces of different lengths from it. At the end of each, fold a loop so that their diameters are different. You can make several frames of different shapes - square, oval, star-shaped, banana-shaped, flower-shaped, etc. Prerequisite in this case - the closedness of the frame.

Dip the wire into the mixture and lightly blow on the resulting film. Let's see what happens? Soap bubbles tend to take on a shape that has the smallest surface area and the largest volume. This is why soap bubbles always tend to take on rounded shapes and look like almost regular spheres.

3. “Drawing with soap”

Method 1: Draw objects on a clean white or colored sheet of paper with a piece of soap, then apply the background with colored pencils.

Method 2: pour the liquid for soap bubbles into cups and add watercolor paints to them. Blow colored bubbles onto a white sheet of paper.

4. “Bubble within a bubble”

For this we need a tube. Using a tube, we blow a large soap bubble, insert a tube inside this bubble and blow out a second bubble. To prevent the bubble from bursting at the touch of the tube, it must be soaked in the solution. You can insert the tube into the second bubble and blow out another one. The number of times you repeat this procedure, the number of bubbles you will have, similar to the “matryoshka doll” principle.

5. “Giant Bubble”

Using a funnel, you can blow out a giant bubble with a diameter of up to 30 cm. Of course, you will have to blow intermittently, clamping the hole each time. You cannot inflate such a bubble with “one spirit” - more than a bucket of air enters it! Moisten the edges of the tube or funnel thoroughly with soapy water, otherwise the bubbles will burst when descending. Saliva trapped in a tube is also the enemy of bubbles. And even a drop of soap solution hanging on the bubble from below is very dangerous. Carefully remove it with a finger soaked in the solution so that the sissy bubble does not burst.

6. “Bouncing Bubbles”

Wrap a scarf around the racket, blow out a balloon and try to lower it onto the racket. Gently try to make the ball bounce. As a result, the soap bubble, without changing shape or bursting, gently falls on the racket and even bounces. The surface of the bubble is quite elastic. The bubble rests on the fibers of the scarf and seems to float in the air.

Dip the wide side of the tube into bubble liquid, then blow into the narrow end of the tube over the oilcloth. Blown bubbles will fall to the surface and you can create various shapes from them. For example, make a caterpillar or try to put bubbles on top of each other, make a pyramid.

Soap corridor

You can easily make a soap corridor as follows. Blow one bubble onto your palms. Then, try to touch the bubbles to each other, watch how they merge into a single whole. Spread and bring your palms together, thereby making a soap corridor. To prevent the bubbles on your palm from bursting, you must first wet your hands in the bubble solution.

To implement this technique you need sub-zero weather. Therefore, this action is great to perform in winter. We go outside in the cold and start blowing bubbles. Soap matryoshka

A medium-sized flat plate should be generously greased with soap bubble solution. After that, using, for example, a cocktail straw, blow the first bubble so that it looks like half a sphere. Now, dip a straw into the solution and carefully pierce the bubble with it, and blow a new one in its niche. Such actions can be repeated until the entire structure bursts. You can also compete with your child in the number of bubbles they blow in each other.

On the water

Soap bubbles of different sizes can be blown onto water. This interesting maneuver can be performed during your baby’s favorite home bath. The child will watch with interest how soap bubbles sink into the water, maintaining their shape, hold on and sway on the waves, or burst merrily to the sound of your ringing laughter.

Several recipes for a high-quality and safe solution for soap bubbles

Combine 150 milliliters of liquid dishwashing detergent with 350 milliliters of water. Add a little glycerin to the resulting liquid;
Combine one glass of baby shampoo with three glasses of water. Add 4 teaspoons of sugar and a little glycerin to the resulting solution;

For the convenience of preparing the solution, use a regular jar. Experiment with quantities of ingredients to obtain the perfect solution.

After you prepare the solution, you will have a sufficient amount of glycerin left, which is useful for soap making. Soap making classes are also quite fun.
