Dmitry Dementy

Ideas are much more difficult to implement than to generate. And this article will help you understand what business to take on. Choose a rubric according to your interests and competencies, find ideas and bring them to life!

Just keep in mind: even the best product will not promote itself. To get the maximum result in terms of website traffic, conversions, leads and sales, you need a comprehensive business promotion.

You can do this on your website, sell through a landing page, even just through social networks. Or use third-party services - Avito, Ebay, Amazon and others.

For 30 days this business was interested in 913980 times.

Surely, almost every day you receive offers to start a real business on the Internet, quickly reach real and sooo big incomes by mail or on social networks. How to understand these proposals, to understand where is the real business, and where is the scam?

How to identify a scammer

Once I already wrote about this in the article "". But three years ago, this issue was less relevant, since very few people were interested in making money on the Internet. Now the situation has changed, so I want to add fresh information to that information.

Firstly, I want to say right away that not all such proposals are actually pyramid schemes or scams. Many Internet entrepreneurs use the same tricks in their work, because people, from time immemorial, are greedy for freebies and are more likely to be interested in the offer, which will say that by working a couple of hours a day you can get big money. But how can you see how realistic it is behind the offer “Let's withdraw $ 1000 in a month”?

The main signs of a scam

So, “tasty” offers are made by everyone - both honest entrepreneurs and scammers. Therefore, you do not need to pay attention to a beautiful wrapper, we will look at what is under it.

Most often, we are offered to start a real business on the Internet by joining a company. And here you can notice the main difference - in a scam you need to kill a lot of time until you figure out what he does. To make it clearer, let me give you an example. Recently, a woman suggested that I post advertising banner with an offer to enter the business. I asked for detailed information. I received a big letter saying that this is a solid company, know-how, the owner is a super-duper respected American, excellent positions in Europe, and now the company is entering the Russian and Chinese markets and not a word about what the company does. In general, I think that you have read this more than once. In addition, she gave a link to her website and a link to a video about the company. The whole site is dedicated to how to live correctly, to achieve success, as well as how badly this lady lived before working in this company and how well she lives now. Again - NOT A WORD ABOUT WHAT THE COMPANY DOES. I watch the video - The first 10 minutes are again about what a great company, how good it is to work in a team, the happy faces of the leaders, photos from the award ceremony, etc. In general, I didn’t have enough for more, and I never found out what this scam does :).

So, one more thing - THERE IS NO GOODS OR IT IS DOUBTABLE. Because if there is a product, and it sells well, for example, as in Oriflame, then they will talk about it for a long time, confidently and with pleasure. What is no product? These are various “mutual aid funds”, that is, financial pyramids, where the first receive income, thanks to those who came later.

The third important criterion is that BUSINESS ON THE INTERNET IS OFFERED TO YOU BY BEGINNERS, that is, laymen who have been trained to invite people, and they themselves do not really understand how to make money. No wonder these people are compared to zombies. There are, of course, gurus - those who have already achieved something in these dubious companies. But they are far fewer and most of time are not busy looking for newcomers, but “zombifying” those who were brought by their team.

How to identify a real business on the Internet

Who offers a real business on the Internet? This is usually one or two people assisted by a small team of freelancers. They have mastered some niche and work successfully in it. They have free training courses, their own website and mailing list. Listen to a free course, subscribe to the newsletter, participate in webinars, search the Internet for reviews of those who have already studied with these guys. Gradually, you will get a picture - is this type of business suitable for you, is it worth paying for paid training.

By the way, it can be different - a paid course, a marathon, individual training via Skype, meetings in real life, etc. Prices can also be different from 500 rubles to hundreds of thousands. But usually from 2000 to 10000 rubles. For this money, they will help you reach the declared minimum, for example, 30,000 rubles a month. I regularly write about various real types of business on the Internet in the heading "", including sometimes I give links to paid and free courses of those whom I trust and from whom I studied myself.

Of course, you can learn a lot on your own, but it will take a lot of time. A paid course is advice, chips, secrets of people who are already making good money on this. Why then do they teach future competitors? First, for the sake of money. Secondly, the Internet is practically a free space where there is no need to talk about competition yet. There are too few who have learned how to make real money here. Thirdly, sometimes they teach people to take on their team, because their business also needs to be expanded. If you are interested in this option, then look for those who, in addition to training, also offer employment.

Another important difference between fraudulent offers is the promise that EVERYTHING WILL BE EASY AND THE WORK WILL TAKE A MINIMUM OF TIME. In fact, even if you start working in one of the major network companies, where everything is worked out to the smallest detail, you will have to spend some time to get the process going and at least work regularly, and also be competent enough to be able to answer any question from your team. Now I will not go into details, I will describe this in a separate article on making money on the Internet with Oriflame.

Summarize - the main signs of scams and pyramid schemes on the Internet:

  1. Those who offer a business are in no hurry to talk about what it is.
  2. There is no product or it is doubtful.
  3. Newbies offer you a job.
  4. Business is offered to everyone. A person does not care who you are, where you live, what you do and how much you earn.
  5. You are promised that the work is easy and will not take much time.

In order not to get involved with a scam or a pyramid scheme, remember that business lives on the Internet according to the same laws as in the real world. In ordinary life, a successful businessman will come up to you on the street with the words - take part in my business? Of course not! And if it does, then you will run away from him headlong, because he is either crazy or a scammer. After all, a person who has a serious business very carefully selects both partners and subordinates.

And, finally, one more piece of advice - if you are interested in a real business on the Internet, then take an interest in how your friends make money on the World Wide Web. Not those who offer you to subscribe somewhere and stir up something, but those who are already making real money and are not calling anyone anywhere. There are more and more of them every year, and if they are not among your friends, then among acquaintances or acquaintances of acquaintances there will definitely be and at least they will be able to tell you what to do, and which offers you definitely need to refuse.

I was already finishing the article, when I received a letter in the mail - a classic example of how to write a lot, but not a word on the merits:

Yes, thanks for the article, very useful. Unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers on the Internet. At one time, I dreamed of working remotely, but did not dare because of the fear of falling into the hands of scammers, and when my offline work colleague told me that she had completed the training and was successfully working remotely, I almost decided to study, because I knew her personally. While studying, I gained a lot of knowledge, I had no idea that all this was real. I've been working remotely for three months now!

Now I know how to make money online. I'm gaining experience.

In May, my wife and I went to Bali to meet the guys who live on the island and earn money remotely. It was interesting to talk, to learn from the experience of remote workers. It turned out that these are ordinary people =) They just believed in themselves.

The article is very correct and helpful. I was lucky when I decided to learn how to earn money remotely, I immediately got into a real training.

And just a few months ago (in the fall of 2014) I learned that using a computer and the Internet you can work not only while sitting at your workplace, in an office, shop, factory or factory, but also at home, in the country and even, imagine yourself while traveling.

I would never have believed it if I had not personally found confirmation of this almost every day during my first amazing journey through tropical countries and islands.

Over the past three months, I have personally met dozens of people aged 17 to 60 who travel, spend the winter in warm countries, on the amazing tropical islands of Thailand, Indonesia, India ... They are absolutely not tied to the workplace. They earn their living and travel by working remotely, that is, via the Internet. As it turned out, this is not only a privilege of programmers, as I thought before. In many cases, this does not require any special skills or special education. Almost everyone at any age can learn how to receive additional income in the amount of $300-500 per month. But this is only the beginning. I personally met guys who in a few months learned how to earn remotely up to $ 1,000 and even more. Each of them has its own story and its own path.

    Hello everybody!

Really interesting article. My story was that I tried to find Additional income. I didn’t plan (and now I’m not going to) leave my main job, but I wanted a better and bigger income, so I got out of the situation by finding a job on the Internet.

She went through training, on which she earned “penny”, only 100 “with a tail of dollars”, but received much more than she could have imagined. Now there is an understanding that the Internet has a job for everyone! I work as a copywriter, rewriter, now I know how to look for customers, I know how to negotiate payment. Maybe it sounds funny - but I really did not know many of the nuances ...

And I would like to add that you really have to work on the Internet! You won't get any money for nothing...

I wish everyone to try - if it does not work out, there is always the opportunity to go back ...

So I do not agree about the point that if a job is offered to everyone, then this is a scam! If, for example, a company is expanding... let's say a call center and new callers are needed! They also take new ones if they pay for the result ... Accordingly, they can hire anyone for the position of personnel manager, since they also work for a percentage of the earnings of the caller they found. As a result, the company pays for the result, and everyone is motivated to work for a good salary, and, accordingly, for a good result. Everyone is good, everyone is happy. I received many real job offers on the Internet after I completed the WP2 training. In general, the article is very useful, but each situation should be approached in its own way!

Super article! I recently completed my training as well. He studied at the 24th stream in "RD2". My personal result is over $500 at the current exchange rate. In rubles it came out 33023.75. But first of all, we must remember that training is not for making money, but first for learning! Its goal is not to let you earn money in a month of training, but to explain how to find a job that you will love, in which you will develop after the training and, accordingly, monetary indicators will grow from month to month. As for the scam, you can check it for comments, but since they are actively bought in our time, you can see the presence of video reviews. Some manage to buy them, but not in large volumes. And for complete confidence in Google there is such a program called "WOT". With its help, you can check the honesty of the site and other nuances.

I really liked the article's balance. Indeed, you can not indiscriminately scold everything. Lohotron is everywhere. In ordinary life too. But the fact that you can earn money on the Internet is a fact. The main thing is to understand everything. I started to figure it out, and it turned out that my technical level is quite low. Raising it is hard work. But I do it. And so there are successes. I'm working quietly, so that there would be time to learn what I don't know yet. The main thing is not to aim at the impossible and I beg you - do not look for freebies! It's not on the internet either.

I myself have visited six countries and I want to travel further. And all thanks to my favorite remote work on the Internet.

However, all these problems are completely solvable, and even in difficult times you can become the owner of a successful business, it would be skill, desire, perseverance and hard work.

A competent entrepreneur is not afraid of new ideas, focuses on working with clients and partners, knows how to reduce costs and increase profits. In our article, we will look at the most striking examples of successful businesses and talk about people who have managed to achieve tremendous success along the chosen path.

Successful small business from scratch: examples in Russia

rabbit farm

Alexander Kirillov started small family business importing meat and doing this for 17 years. One day, a friend asked him to get high-quality rabbit meat for an allergic son, and thereby pushed the entrepreneur to a new idea. In 2010, Alexander acquired a livestock complex in the Yegoryevsky district of the Moscow region and began to breed rabbits there.

Starting capital in the amount of 53 million rubles. the personal funds of the entrepreneur and the loan he took from the Russian Agricultural Bank served - about 50 to 50. The rabbit breeding complex was called "Lelechi" - after the name of the nearby village. During its arrangement, Alexander used the experience of livestock breeders from Hungary, Spain, Germany and France.

A lot of investment was required. The purchase of land and the construction of communications on it cost the businessman 20 million rubles. Another 12 million were spent on the purchase of Italian cages, the equipment of the first production shop air cooling systems, installation of other necessary equipment. The shop had an area of 1000 sq. m and was designed to contain 10 thousand rabbits.

Important: last year the country produced more than 20,000 tons of rabbit meat, with 4/5 of the total coming from private farms. With a 20 percent increase in production, the price of meat in retail stores the capital is about 1.1 thousand rubles. per kilogram.

The enterprise, founded by Alexander Kirillov, has become one of the few engaged in industrial rabbit breeding. Through the use modern technologies Lelechi can afford to wholesale rabbit meat at a price of only 400 rubles. per kilogram. The company also buys rabbit meat from the population (130 rubles/kg).

Today, the company brings in an income of about 3.3 million rubles. per month, and the owner's net profit for the same period is 200 thousand rubles. Lelechi has established cooperation with several large retail chains:

  • "Auchan" - since 2012,
  • "Market" - since 2014,
  • "Azbuka Vkusa" - since 2014.

Since 2016, the complex has been producing 300 tons of rabbit meat per year. If we take into account that the enterprise produces its own compound feed and is connected to a centralized gas supply, Lelechi LLC can easily compete with Chinese suppliers of rabbit meat.

furniture business

This is another example of a successful business that started with a single sewing machine and a garage in which car interiors were fitted. However, the young entrepreneur Oleg Pai took on more serious tasks, despite the fact that he did not then have the necessary equipment and did not understand the subject very well. Customers were attracted by low prices and short terms execution of orders.

To open his own business, Oleg had to sell the car. With the proceeds, he purchased a large cutting table and a set of necessary tools. Based on an ad in a newspaper, I found a man who knows how to pull car dealerships and needs a job. But the first pancake came out lumpy: the partners were poorly versed in marketing, and there was no extra money for advertising.

Rescued the case. Oleg made acquaintance with people who drove from the USA a large number of used cars of the same brand - former taxis. They were updated and sold for decent money. But the cars that were brought in were so "dead" that every second car needed a re-upholstery. Oleg did this, and he took it inexpensively from customers. Concept minimum price for the performance of a unified work brought an excellent result, and subsequently the businessman invariably adhered to it.

After the accident in 2004, Oleg spent six months in the hospital. During his absence, the workshop almost went bankrupt, and the entrepreneur decided to try his hand at furniture business, especially since just at that time one metropolitan club needed custom-made furniture. In the same year, Oleg organized mass production sofas.

Just a few years later, the once aspiring entrepreneur became the owner of several factories specializing in the production of economy-class furniture and opened the largest online store. The HomeMe company created by Oleg managed to take an advantageous place in the market, which, according to experts, has long been closed to beginners. Moreover, this market began to leave the major players who managed to survive the crisis, but were unable to adapt to new realities.

Many furniture companies offer a large number of models in different colors. Oleg chose a different tactic: HomeMe releases one model in two or three colors and sells it at a low price. In addition, the entrepreneur realized the possibilities of online sales in time and opened the HomeMe.ru online store. Today monthly turnover of the company is about 100 million rubles, about 3,000 sofas are sold every week.

Sturgeon farm

Another a prime example very successful business. In 2014, in the Belgorod region, Viktor Kozemsky began building a farm for growing sturgeon in a closed water supply. And already three years later, the Belosetr enterprise began to bring good income to the owner, producing up to half a ton of caviar annually.

Before starting this business, Viktor Kozemsky bred fish in Donetsk, at the same time developing, together with his colleagues, a system for keeping and feeding sturgeons.

Ten years of work was not in vain: today the plant has at its disposal more than 7 tons of stock of mother fish, a special workshop for growing fry is equipped - that is, the enterprise is constantly growing and developing. In 2015 Belosetr sold one and a half tons of fish and 200 kg of black caviar.

Considering that a kilogram of caviar costs from 28,000 to 30,000 rubles on the wholesale market, the farm's profitability is beyond doubt. In 2018 Belosetr plans to produce two tons of sturgeon and sterlet caviar.

Interesting: Ministry Agriculture published data, according to which the amount of exported black caviar in 2014 increased by 300 percent and for the first three quarters of 2015 amounted to 4.71 tons. This was facilitated by the depreciation of the ruble and the presence of a favorable environment for the development of sturgeon production.

Successful business in Russia: the most striking examples

  1. Euroset.

Name of the former co-owner of the salons cellular communication Euroset is probably known to many. Yevgeny Chichvarkin started doing business at school: he bought cigarettes on the outskirts of the city and sold them to classmates with a small cheat. While studying at the State University of Management, and then graduate school, he simultaneously traded in the clothing market.

Once Timur Artemiev, a school friend of Evgeny, invited him to work in the salon mobile phones"Medic" - and did not lose. Sales instantly increased as soon as, on the advice of Chichvarkin, nondescript salespeople in the salon were replaced by slender girls in uniform. In addition, each outlet was equipped beautiful shop windows with backlight.

After only a year, Medicom became the leader among other mobile communication stores in the city. And on April 2, 1997, friends registered LLC " Trading house Euroset.

There are not so many similar examples of successful business. Even the crisis of 1998, in a sense, benefited the company: Chichvarkin and Artemyev managed to rent salons in the center of Moscow cheaper than they cost a year ago on the outskirts. Luck continued: in a dealer center that sells accessories for phones, Eugene accidentally saw contacts of a direct manufacturer on empty boxes in the toilet. This allowed the owners of Euroset to significantly save on the supply of goods.

Yevgeniy had a gift for choosing the right places for the location of retail outlets, he often guessed with memorable signs and provocative marketing. Surely many people remember the famous slogan: "Euroset" - prices are just about ... t.

But then there was a losing streak. In 2005, the company attracted the attention of law enforcement. The leadership of Euroset was suspected either of smuggling goods, or that a batch of phones with harmful radiation was sold through stores. Specifically, Chivarkin was accused of kidnapping and extortion.

The case ended with the fact that in 2008 Euroset was bought by the ANN investment company, and Evgeny moved to Britain. Now, together with his friend Timur Artemyem, he is engaged in a business that is very far from being sold. cell phones. Chichvarkin opened the Hedonism Wines store, where you can buy both inexpensive wines for just a few pounds, and truly elite ones, worth 100 thousand pounds or more.

  1. "In contact with".

It can be said about Pavel Durov that from childhood he was preparing to become successful person. His brilliant studies, first at the Academic Gymnasium, and then at the Faculty of Philology of St. Petersburg State University, were repeatedly awarded government and presidential scholarships.

After graduating from the university, Pavel, together with his brother Nikolai, created the student.ru social youth network. After some time, she changed her name to VKontakte and brought Pavel huge profits. By the age of 25, the entrepreneur had earned about 8 billion rubles.

Although the VKontakte network appeared later than Odnoklassniki and is much inferior in complexity to the same Yandex, Pavel Durov is often called a symbol of Russian Internet business. The fact is that it is VKontakte that is rightly considered the simplest and most user-friendly Internet community, which unites more than 140 million people.

At first, the creator of the resource resisted pressure from the authorities as best he could. But at the end of 2011, against the backdrop of massive opposition demonstrations, representatives Federal Service The security forces decided to force Pavel to close groups disloyal to the government. He refused, after which the status of the social network instantly changed to "unreliable".

It turned out to be impossible to resist the authorities: in April 2014, Pavel left the post of CEO of the company and went abroad.

  1. Tinkoff.

Oleg Tinkov never studied as brilliantly as Evgeny Chichvarkin or Pavel Durov. Nevertheless, the company he created is a real example of a successful business.

Entrepreneurial vein showed up in Oleg back in the years of his studies at the Leningrad Mining Institute: he bought things from foreign students that were in short supply at that time and sold them at exorbitant prices to Soviet citizens.

A little later, the area of his activity expanded significantly. In Siberia, he sold goods from St. Petersburg, and from there he brought and sold with almost 100 percent a variety of equipment assembled in Singapore: calculators, televisions, video recorders, etc. In 1993, Tinkov founded his first company, Petrosib, to which a little later he joined the Tekhnoshok and MusicShock networks. Four years later, Tinkov sold this company for $7 million.

The businessman's next projects are a restaurant with "live" beer, then the Daria company, which sells dumplings, frozen pancakes and cutlets.

Having gained experience in commercial activities, Oleg began to promote his own trademark. Soon, the Tinkoff brand became associated among people with a network of restaurants with the same name with their own breweries. In addition, Oleg carefully began to select market segments that large companies were interested in expanding. Tinkov created a business, promoted it - and sold it to one of the serious competitors.

In 2006, the Tinkoff Credit Systems (TCS) online bank was born. Unlike other similar institutions, this bank does not have physical branches and branches, all operations are carried out remotely.

A year after the founding of TCS, 2 million credit cards were issued, which allowed the bank to become the leader of the domestic Internet sector. It is interesting that Tinkov, after the promotion of TKS, planned to sell it to Sberbank. But in the end, German Gref did not buy the entire organization from the businessman, but promising top management. By the way, Oleg Tinkov still lives and works in Russia.

  1. Wild Berries

Another example of a successful business is the business founded by Tatyana Bakalchuk. A woman who grew up in an ordinary family and was educated as a teacher in English, back in the early 2000s, was able to assess the possibilities of the then barely nascent clothing trade on the online shopping platform.

After the birth of the child, Tatyana faced serious financial difficulties. Unable to find a full-time job, in 2004 she decided to go into selling clothes online. I found Otto catalogs and began to act as an intermediary. Almost none of those around him believed in Tatyana's success: people could not imagine that they would buy clothes without first trying them on. But a year later, Wildberry became the leader in its segment.

Even the crisis that happened did not harm the business, but gave impetus to its subsequent development. In 2008, the warehouses of the owners of well-known companies were overflowing, the goods were sold very badly. Tatyana took a chance and bought products in bulk, and then, having expanded the staff of the company, she profitably resold branded clothes and shoes. Thanks to the fact that the online store offered free delivery of orders to major cities, and then throughout the country, it attracted the attention of hundreds of thousands of buyers. Suppliers themselves began to contact Tatyana and offer her cooperation. Today, Wildberry's turnover is hundreds of millions of dollars.

Examples of successful small businesses that have grown into global corporations

Victoria's Secret store

Once Roy Raymond wanted to please his wife and give her chic underwear. But in the store, he was unable to choose a suitable present, even with the help of consultants.

This gave Roy the idea to create his own line of lingerie. The idea quickly came to fruition, and already in 1977 the trade point called "Victoria's Secrets".

Raymond tried to combine the soulful atmosphere in his store with the strict elegance of European boutiques, to make even men feel comfortable in this establishment.

In addition, Roy invented a completely new system for selling goods - through catalogs, which, without exaggeration, can be called a revolution in the world of trade.

True, five years later, Raymond sold his business to Leslie Wexner, who eventually changed the image of the company - and a quiet store for men turned into a place where any woman can pick up luxurious things for herself.

Chain of fast food restaurants KFC

Garlan Sanders is considered one of the "fathers" of fast food chains in America. This man's story is truly amazing. With only six years of education behind him, he changed many professions: he worked as a fireman and postman, a conductor and a tire salesman, served in the army and was an auxiliary worker on a farm.

Despite all efforts, Sanders did not succeed in breaking out into people. If it weren't for his wife, who believes in her husband's potential and supports him in everything, Harry would probably have given up.

But one day fortune turned to face Sanders. In 1930, he came up with the idea to open a car repair shop, and with it a small canteen for customers. And although the dining room was in one of the workshop rooms and contained only one table with a few chairs, and food was prepared in the home kitchen, things suddenly went smoothly.

The mini-canteen was made famous by fried chicken seasoned with a mixture of 11 different spices. To try it, people from all over Kentucky began to come to Harry. And the dish itself was popularly called "Garlan Sanders Fried Chicken".

The business went so well that already in 1937 Harry was able to expand his business by opening a motel called Sanders Court & Cafe. The highlight of the institution are self-service restaurants.

A decade and a half later, Harry's famous chickens were sold all over the United States, ordered by hundreds of restaurants for their menus. This example of a successful small business has inspired many Americans to try their hand at entrepreneurship.

Woolworth

Now the name of the one who came up with the price tags for goods is known to every competent marketer. But in his youth, Frank Woolworth was a very shy, insecure person, who also suffered from a stutter. Nevertheless, he was hired in a small store as a sales assistant.

In those days, no one even thought of hanging price tags on goods. Moreover, having estimated by eye, according to the appearance of the possibilities of the buyer, the seller called the cost of the thing. The client, in turn, began to bargain and simply left if a reasonable agreement was not reached.

Frank, due to his shyness, hated and was afraid to argue with clients, and even once during the bargaining he simply fell unconscious. Frank's manifestation of weakness did not go unnoticed: as punishment, he was left alone in the store for the whole day and threatened with dismissal in case of lack of revenue.

Woolworth brilliantly got out of the situation by attaching leaflets indicating the minimum cost to all goods. He also laid out all the products stale in the warehouse right on the table and put a sign next to it "Everything for 5 cents." By the way, Frank moved the table to the window so that the inscription could be seen from the street.

The store owner was extremely surprised at the weekly revenue that the young man made in just three hours. The fact is that buyers practically did not bargain and immediately gave the amounts indicated on the price tags.

After such a successful experiment, Frank realized that he himself could become a good businessman. Woolworth borrowed money, opened his own business and eventually became the founder of a large Woolworth chain of stores. In 1919, Frank's fortune was estimated at 65 million - at that time it was just a lot of money.

Hilton

In the summer of 1919, 31-year-old Conrad Hilton arrived in the small Texas town of Sisko. Previously, the young man was already engaged in business, but the bank he opened burst, not having lasted even a year. Conrad had about $5,000 left in his hands, and he decided to try again - to buy the old bank from someone or open a new one.

But in the meantime, it was necessary to live somewhere, and Hilton went to a local hotel. The picture that opened there struck him to the core: there were so many people who wanted to rent a room that there weren’t enough free rooms for everyone. What entrepreneur does not dream of an insane amount of customers whose needs can and should be met?

But the owner of the Mobley Hotel himself did not bring any pleasure in this situation. He was ready to sell his hotel at any moment. Hilton forgot about his plans to open a bank and within a few days he completed a deal to acquire the business. A few years later, the fashionable DallasHilton was opened, and today the famous chain of hotels and resorts is spread all over the world. Is this not an example of a truly successful business?

Mars

Since the age of 19, Frank Mars has been selling various sweets. It took him about a decade to accumulate start-up capital. Having achieved this goal, Frank and his wife opened a candy store. She was in their house, and the trade in sweets (mainly sweets own production) went straight through the window.

One day while walking, Frank's child asked for chocolate. But in those days it was sold only by weight, it melted very quickly, and the children, no matter how neat they were, still stained their clothes. It was then that Mars came up with the idea of wrapping chocolate in foil.

Just a few days later, only the lazy did not hear about the MilkyWay bar, the competitors envied the popularity of this chocolate bar. And Frank's company began to develop rapidly and capture new markets.

Successful women's business: examples that inspire

Estée Lauder: magical recipes for beauty

Este Lauder's parents, Jewish immigrants, were extremely poor and lived in the slums of New York. Este started out selling homemade face creams and eventually became the owner of a cosmetics empire. Listed out of 500 largest corporations In the United States, EsteeLauder ranked 249th in 2003 and had an annual revenue of $4.74 billion.

The secret of Lauder's success was not only in the release of anti-aging cosmetics "according to Uncle John's recipe", but also in competent marketing strategy. What is the advertising slogan alone worth: “Time is not on your side, but I am!” In addition, it was Lauder who came up with the idea of giving free samples to clients, as well as giving gifts for the purchase.

Este loved to advise customers herself and always adhered to the principle: turning your back on the client means losing him.

Lauder also worked personally with company personnel. She told the employees that she achieved her position only through hard work, showed how to behave behind the counter.

Este believed that if a business woman is not indifferent to her marriage, she should give her husband the opportunity to feel strong and significant, and do this as subtly as possible. Lauder herself coped with the task one hundred percent: her husband supported her in all endeavors. And when Este was 87 years old, she passed her business to her sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren without a doubt. EsteeLauder is currently led by Leonard, the eldest of Estee and Joseph's two sons. Having started working in his mother's firm as a delivery boy at the age of 10, today Lauder is on the 131st position in the list of world billionaires.

Mary Kay

Another example of a successful women's business is the company founded by Mary Kay Ash. This woman is rightly called the most talented business woman in American history. Mary Kay products are sold in 35 countries around 2.5 million independent consultants, and the firm's sales in 2013 exceeded $3 billion.

Mary Kay is not just a cosmetics company. This is a company that has a special corporate culture. Each member of the team is motivated to succeed, each plays a role and holds a "special" position - for example, a national leader. Mary Kay has repeatedly said that the company she created "has a heart."

The basis of the entrepreneurial philosophy lies in one phrase: “You can do it!”. The fact is that Mary herself managed to truly surprise the world by bringing the tale of Cinderella to life. Having married at the age of 17, she gave birth to her husband three children, and he later filed for divorce. For a quarter of a century, Kay worked as a sales agent, but she never received a promotion, as the position was given to a man. At 45, Mary decided to write a book about women in business and quit her job. In the process of creating, she suddenly realized that her manuscript was nothing more than a business plan for an ideal company in which she would like to work. So why not create it yourself? Kay did just that. In 1963, with the support of her 20-year-old son Roger, she founded Mary Kay Cosmetics. Despite the fact that the company's starting capital was only 5 thousand dollars, the business eventually unwinded and began to bring billions in income.

Mary Kay argued that the main thing for a true leader is not the mind, but the heart. She said that it is impossible to be a leader and not love people. Kay's business principles are, in essence, somewhat reminiscent of biblical commandments. And they definitely work, benefiting, if not customers, then employees of the company for sure.

Barbie

Ruth Handler, who started working at age 10, had a dream of going to college, graduating and starting her own business. In 1945, Ruth, her husband Elliot, and a friend founded Mattel, a company that made toy furniture and photo frames. After some time, Handler invented the world-famous Barbie doll, and the company's revenues skyrocketed. Today, Mattel has a leading position in the toy market, with a third of the corporation's revenue coming from sales of Barbie dolls.

The success of the idea was that the asexual baby dolls were finally replaced by a real "live" doll. Handler was able to see the needs of customers and offer people what they needed.

Watching her daughter Barbara play with a paper doll, Ruth decided that such toys are not suitable for girls, as they do not develop self-esteem in them. Handler thought that a good doll should have breasts and luxurious hair, many beautiful outfits and shoes, dishes, combs and much more. Of course, Mattel took over the production of millions of accessories for Barbie.

But even before the creation of the famous doll, Ruth perfectly understood the benefits of competent marketing. While other toy manufacturers operated through retailers, Handler ran her TV ads between Disney cartoons. Such a campaign cost half a million dollars, but the income brought just a huge - 14 billion over two years. This experience came in handy later on. When adults at first did not take the unusual doll seriously, Ruth did not lose heart and launched advertising on television again. As a result, the first batch of toys was sold out almost instantly. Over the course of 10 years, the project brought the Handlers $500 million. Some time later, Ruth even began writing cartoons about her character - for example, "Barbie and the Nutcracker".

Successful small women's business: examples from Russia

  1. Private kindergartens of Zhanna Kazanskaya.

The idea to start this business came to Zhanna after she faced difficulties in placing her child in a kindergarten. The woman solved the problem by founding her own cartoon studio "Elephant" in 2008 in the village of Glukhovo near Moscow. And if the first project required investments in the amount of 600 thousand rubles, then the second, called "Interesting Kindergarten", cost already 1 million - taking into account the purchase and arrangement of the building. Investments in the third project in Bolshoi Trekhgorny have already amounted to as much as 15 million rubles. Since the business paid off and even brought in a certain income, Zhanna founded the next preschool institution in the capital itself. The kindergarten, serving 65 children, generates revenue from 3.5 to 4 million rubles. per month. After all payments (rent, salaries to employees, for food, etc.), about 600 thousand rubles remain. net income. One institution pays off within about two years. But, according to Zhanna Kazanskaya, a lot here depends on the qualifications of employees, competent planning and the ability to find a good investor.

  1. Ice cream cafe Morojko.

Another example of a very successful women's business. In 2011, the first outdoor pavilion "Morojko" was built in Volgograd. In it, people could buy soft ice cream in paper cups and soft cones. The popularity of the store was so high that over the next four years, several more outlets were opened in the busiest parts of the city. The network also implemented the first franchise. Today, two ice cream parlors operate under this franchise - in Bryansk and Saransk.

The founder of the business, Elena Postoeva, won the Best Women's Project nomination of the Business Success 2015 award. And Morojko itself was the 24th project, the development of which was financed by the venture fund of Promsvyazbank and the Opora Rossii public association. $1.77 million was invested in the project.

  1. Ready meals: do it yourself.

Once Olga Zinoviev was visited by a brilliant idea: home delivery is not ready meals, and the products for their preparation are already peeled, washed and cut. Each such set was accompanied by several recipes for gourmet dishes that could be prepared in 5 minutes to half an hour.

To receive such food packages twice a week, you must subscribe to the company's website. Moreover, the menu for each client is compiled individually, after filling out a detailed questionnaire. The project opened in 2014. In just a month, 120 thousand Muscovites took part in it, and the company made a profit of more than 1.2 million rubles.

The concept of "meal designer" came to Olga while studying at Harvard Business School. The head of the Boston venture fund Lawrence Lepard immediately became interested in the idea. And in exchange for 10 percent of the share in the business, the fund invested in the project.

A little later, the company raised about half a million dollars from an anonymous international investor. Information has passed that the funds will be spent on automating business processes and scaling them. The creators of the project plan to create a full-fledged alternative to offline supermarkets over the next 3-5 years.

Examples of unsuccessful business projects in which a lot of money was invested, but they did not justify themselves

The ultimate goal of any businessman is to make a profit. Some create fundamentally new products for this, others invent innovative approaches to doing business, others try to do business conservatively. But often these actions not only do not increase the income of the enterprise, but, on the contrary, go to its detriment.

  1. Yo-mobile.

A vivid example when a business did not become successful, although the idea itself was not bad. A group of investors led by Mikhail Prokhorov in 2010 announced the start of work on a project to create an environmentally friendly "people's" car worth no more than 360 thousand rubles. The project budget amounted to 150 million euros. The release of the first cars was planned for 2012. But something went wrong, the deadline was moved a year, then another two. The estimated price of the car has also increased - up to half a million rubles.

According to experts, serial production of hybrid cars could not be carried out in principle, since the team working on the Yo-mobile did not have sufficient experience, and the declared budget was clearly too small. According to experts, an additional investment of 115 million euros was required for the successful completion of the project.

  1. Solar batteries "Rosnano".

The Rosnano project is also an example of a not very successful business idea. Since 2009, the Nitol group has invested almost 9.5 billion rubles in the production of polycrystalline silicon for solar cells. But the cost of processing resources turned out to be too high, and the company had to request assistance from the state in the amount of 4.7 billion rubles. However, according to experts, this will not bring any benefit. The fact is that solar energy in Russia (unlike, for example, from the countries of Southern Europe) will not be in great demand. And in the same Spain, the launch of such projects led to an increase in the price of electricity.

  1. Chocolate crucifix.

An example of a business, the success of which was not worth even dreaming of. In March 2004, the American company RusselStover released a 15 cm crucifix-shaped chocolate bar. Needless to say, such an idea simply outraged believers, and the company suffered significant losses?

  1. True to the Ford tradition.

For 1908, Henry Ford's Model T was very good. The ratio of price and quality more than suited buyers. But time passed, the automotive industry developed, other, more advanced car brands appeared on the market. Ford, instead of following new trends, stubbornly adhered to old traditions - and as a result paid for it with business: 45 percent of the market was irretrievably lost.

  1. In pursuit of beer profit.

Another example of a business project, the success of which is out of the question. In the 1950s, Schlitz was second only to the famous Budwaiser in terms of turnover. To correct this "misunderstanding", the director of Schlitz decided to speed up the beer fermentation process and at the same time use cheaper ingredients. In his opinion, such an innovation would allow to produce more product, thereby increasing the company's profit. That is what happened at first. But in the end, consumers realized that the taste of Schlitz had deteriorated significantly. Moreover, observing an unpleasant sediment at the bottom of the bottles, the majority of regular customers completely abandoned this beer in favor of other brands. The business idea not only didn’t work, but also damaged the company’s reputation, which Schlitz never managed to restore.

  1. Heart stimulator.

Guidant has changed the manufacturing technology of medical equipment. At first, everything seemed to be going well, and the company managed to sell more than 50,000 new pacemakers. But suddenly it turned out that the new equipment is prone to short circuits. When the bill went to dozens (moreover, two patients with implanted stimulants died), the company went bankrupt.

  1. Bad acquisitions.

There are enough examples of successful business on the Internet, but still this market segment cannot be called truly reliable. The fact is that almost every month more and more advanced technologies appear, the competition on the network is huge, and buying certain services in such conditions is always risky. You don't have to look far for examples. In 1988, AOL acquired the instant messaging service ICQ. The owner, the Israeli firm Mirabilis, was paid $400 million, a huge sum at the time. But the service was never able to make a profit, since very soon ICQ was replaced by such projects as MSN, Skype, GoogleTalks and others. To somehow compensate for their losses, AOL sold the service Russian company MailGroup for $187M

However, a few years later, AOL management stepped on the same rake: focusing on the success of Facebook, the companies acquired the social network Bebo. This time the purchase cost the company as much as $ 850 million. And again, disappointment: the service could not compete with the Facebook network, the number of users of which at that time reached about 100 million people. Moreover, people began to leave Bebo, and soon the monthly number of visits to the service was reduced from 22 to 14.6 million. AOL had to go on the already beaten path and in the summer of 2010 resell what seemed such a profitable acquisition. For the service, the company earned only $10 million, that is, 1/85 of the price paid two years ago.

10 business lessons from Neil Patel on the do's and don'ts of trying to build a successful business

Neil Patel is a famous investor, businessman and blogger. He is among the co-founders of the Internet companies CrazyEgg, and KISSmetrics. Worked with corporations General Motors, Hewlett-Packard and others. Neil was named one of Technorati's Top 100 Bloggers.

Work to the limit

Strange as it may sound, but to create a small company and big company the same effort is required.

Before you start a business, answer yourself the question: what are you willing to risk for the sake of success?

And one more thing: what is your ultimate goal? For example, if my partner and I were doing our first project to the limit, we could take our business to a much higher level than we did.

Create a simple product

You don't have to go for excesses. Often the simplest product is also the most profitable. Let's take the iPad for example. Having purchased it as a gift for my father, I was ready to spend some time talking about how to use the gadget. But this was not necessary: the father quickly figured out everything himself. Similar examples of successful businesses include Google and Amazon services.

Many entrepreneurs think: the more complex the product, the better it is. But not everyone understands one simple truth: many people will refuse to purchase too complex equipment, even if it can be used to solve some important problems.

Starting my business, I was captivated by the same delusions, and therefore I created products and websites that could satisfy any request of potential customers. I thought that the stronger the functionality of the service, the more popular the product would become.

In fact, in any field you need to strive for simplicity. An example of a successful business is VeriSign, whose mission was to authenticate ecommerce. The firm didn't make a lot of money until its leaders realized the problem: people just don't understand what it's all about. The company's slogan has been replaced with a simpler one: "Your Internet Passport".

E-commerce site owners have realized that with the help of VeriSign, they can get online shoppers to trust their chosen resources. And the business of the company went smoothly.

Solve people's problems

For a business to be truly successful, an entrepreneur needs to understand what tasks the product is intended to solve. When organizing the Crazy Egg, my partner and I realized this.

A product with which the consumer can cope with certain difficulties is much easier to sell. You just need to remind customers of their problems, and then offer a solution.

But one simplicity and usefulness of the product for successful sales few.

First, you don't need products to look super tech. Apple gadgets and Pixar movies are very complex to manufacture, but presented in such a way that buyers simply do not realize how intricately they are.

Secondly, the focus on personal participation is very important. For example, the Facebook social network allows people to find old friends, and using Jittergram, you can create one video from several photos.

Focus on specific price categories

I started by going door to door and trying to sell people expensive vacuum cleaners. Part of my presentation program was free carpet shampooing. And I always looked forward to this moment, often not even knowing what would come of this demonstration. I remember that in the end I managed to sell only one vacuum cleaner, and even that one was returned the next day with some kind of claim.

It taught me to sell things that people can afford. Customers won't line up for a product just because it's very high-end. Every product has an optimal price range and it is your responsibility to understand that range.

For example, I did not immediately understand what target audience the KISSmetrics analytics system should address. I had to conduct preliminary testing, and only then the service began to bring good profits.

Advertise!

There was a time when Monster.com served as an example of a truly successful business for me. It was very popular and brought its owners good profit. I thought and created a similar product - Advice Monkey. But the 10 thousand dollars invested in the project did not want to pay off immediately. I had to start promoting the resource, otherwise the money would have been lost forever. But even after learning the basics of online marketing, running ads, and trying to work with three Internet companies, I ran into the problem of making credit card transactions. As a result, the project had to be closed.

The conclusion from this can be drawn as follows: when creating a business, do not be guided by rumors and assumptions. It will be much more reliable to study the market and only then take some action.

High prices have their benefits

Many entrepreneurs believe that the secret to a successful business is low prices. There is some truth in this, but nothing more. I learned a long time ago that customers who prefer cheaper goods love to complain, especially if we are talking about consulting.

At high prices has its advantages:

  • firstly, they show the client that you are a professional in your business and do not do work for nothing;
  • secondly, there are much fewer complaints to you. Companies with big budgets don't like to talk about who and what they pay for;
  • thirdly, if you focus on a small number of clients, then the quality of your work increases markedly;
  • and, finally, reputation: professionals who charge a lot for work, but fulfill orders “excellently”, always have many clients who, moreover, speak well of them.

Storm Pulse founder Matthew Wensig understood the value of this strategy. From a large number of low-income clients, he switched to serving large organizations. As a result, the firm's client base has decreased, but revenues have increased.

Free work can help you find profitable jobs

It sounds paradoxical, but it is a fact. And it is explained quite simply.

Each of your clients is a stepping stone to another customer, a larger one. For example, you are promoting a resource for small firm, which, in turn, cooperates with more serious organizations.

Promise the head of the firm you're working for to do the work for free if, through him, you can get a contract with a larger company.

Perform elementary calculations. Suppose you plan to charge $5,000 per month from a small firm. If a large organization pays you $50,000 every month, you will benefit by $45,000.

Don't stop there

A company that attracts more and more new partners and constantly increases the amount of contracts is not always an example of a successful business. It is much more important to look for clients who will give their funds to you.

And you can never stop there, even if the company has gained momentum and began to bring good income. As soon as you slow down, the money will stop flowing. The world of finance is somewhat like a roller coaster. And until I figured it out, my old consulting firm wasn't consistently profitable.

Do what you really like

Owning an Internet marketing studio, I earned quite a lot, but I practically did not get pleasure from my work.

Of course, I was happy with my successes, but I constantly wanted something more. For example, to do what I like and at the same time bring income. A person cannot work 80 hours a week if he does not like the chosen activity.

Excitement and passion for earning also play a role, but this is clearly not enough for a successful start. In addition, excitement sometimes harms business, as it interferes with a sober assessment of the situation. Only real-minded entrepreneurs are able to achieve success in their business.

John Bradbury laid out a few rules for successful business:

  1. Act like a businessman.
  2. Focus not only on personal ideas, but also on the market in general and the consumer in particular.
  3. Before starting a business, make a plan for payback and find ways to finance.
  4. Feel free to adjust your plan if necessary.
  5. Feel free to ask questions and listen to advice.
  6. Never rush, business development takes time.

Loving your work is a very good thing. But at the same time, no one canceled the planning and possible struggle with circumstances.

Hire Carefully

When I started my first business, I hired almost everyone: sometimes on my own, sometimes following the recommendations of friends and relatives. But then I realized that I was making a mistake. When evaluating applicants, the certain rules. For myself, I worked out the following:

  1. To choose the right candidate, you need to understand what kind of work he will have to perform. Work for a couple of weeks in the place of a future employee, even if you don’t understand anything about this matter. This approach will help you understand the features of the position and the level of salary for it.
  2. Pay special attention to the organization of the workflow. Provide the new employee with everything necessary: certificates, manuals, etc.
  3. Don't focus on the salary. Some people will work through their sleeves whether they get $20,000 or $120,000. Others will simply "serve out" their term at the workplace. The main thing is to find out what is most valuable for the candidate in the job.
  4. Rate personal qualities person. Sometimes even an experienced specialist may not fit into the team or not understand what exactly your firm does. Do not save time on viewing candidates, try to cover as many applicants as possible.

And, probably, the main advice for novice businessmen: if you need to hire carefully, then you need to fire boldly.

Alexander Romanov

In the first month of operation, the net profit of the sweets shop amounted to 120,000 rubles

Since childhood, I love sweets and goodies, and as you know, from a hobby and love you can make a job, now I have my own sweet shop. I opened it relatively recently, in 2017. He does not bring millions of rubles, but there is a stable stream of profit.

I will paint everything as it is without decorating anything. When I opened the store, I did not want to take any loans or debts for it. There was an amount of 1 million rubles, and it had to be met. I planned to rent a room in a small shopping center and ordered the entire design of the project from my friends for 10,000 rubles. Repairs began on it, which took about 300,000 rubles. Then I bought and installed all the necessary equipment for 200,000 rubles, and all I had to do was buy the first batch and start trading.

I did not hire employees, because I considered it a waste of money. I was not sure that the establishment would attract enough customers to make a good profit. I traded mainly in unusual sweets and chocolates that cannot be found in ordinary grocery stores.

In the first month, net profit amounted to 120,000 rubles. I was very happy with this turn of events in my life. I did not want to continue trading on my own, so I hired two salesmen. Of course, net profit has fallen and now stands at 60,000 rubles, but this result also suits me quite well, because the amount of time I devote to business is minimal.

The unsuccessful story of opening a candy store or how to lose 1.5 million rubles

I share my unsuccessful attempt to open a candy store. This is the case when too much monthly expenses ruined the business.

I'll start right away with the fact that I rented a room in the very center of the city with a size of 60 sq.m. for 150.000 rubles. The flow of people was simply huge and I assumed that some percentage of them needed sweets and they would come to us.

I don’t want to focus on the initial costs, because they are not ruining the business, but we have invested about 1,500,000 rubles in repairs, design, website development, equipment, etc.

Three employees were hired: two salesmen and a cleaner. The wage fund as a result amounted to 70,000 rubles.

As a result, our monthly expenses were more than 220,000 rubles, and there were no buyers at all. It was the most failed business I have ever opened. He was never able to reach the point of profitability and had to be closed. I sold all the equipment in order to somehow recoup the losses.

The conclusion that I drew from this experience is that high traffic does not guarantee a large number of customers. Of course, we had clients, and even in normal numbers, but for a room with a rent of 150,000 rubles, they were simply not enough.

Monthly expenses

Name Sum
Premises for rent 50.000 rub.
FOT 40.000 rub.

Total: 100.000 rub.

Of course, in the early stages of work, you can save on an employee and involve relatives in the work. As soon as the business starts to bring good income, it will be possible to hire staff.

Income and profit

In the first months of operation, the store selling sweets will be held in the mode of technical opening and the formation of the necessary assortment. Starting from the third - fourth months, we can talk about reaching a stable level of income.

On average, the margin on the goods sold will be at least 160%. For example, from the purchase of products for 75,000 rubles, you will receive an income in the total amount of 180,000 rubles. Considering the costs during the month, as well as taxes, the net profit will be approximately at the level of 80,000 - 100,000 rubles.

The payback period of the project is at least five months (if the business is successful).

Store Format

small shop

Most the best option for the original format of the sweet shop is a small shop. With its help, you can consolidate your position in a niche, get the first profit, and then start developing, creating stores throughout the city.

Island

"Island" is located mainly in large shopping centers, so the initial investment here will be minimal. But keep in mind that the rent from your "island" will be exactly the same as from another store (on average). Therefore, take care of such expenses in advance.

Online store

If you are just starting to create a business and do not understand anything about online trading, then it is better not to try to create an online store selling sweets. This can become an unbearable burden for you. A better option might be to include the sale of sweets in an existing social media store.

Range

Depending on the location of the store, a choice is made in favor of one or another sweet that you will sell. If the store is located in a prestigious area, where there are a large number of banks, expensive clothing stores, then the emphasis is on unusual and exclusive products. If you start opening a store in a microdistrict where there are competitors, then you need to expand the assortment and include in it those sweets that competitors do not have. In addition, it is necessary to carry out various promotions and provide discounts to customers in order to increase the throughput of the store.

You will need to monitor the preferences of customers, update the assortment regularly.

An approximate assortment of a store selling sweets is as follows:

  • 100 types of chocolate candies and 30 types of caramel;
  • Boxed sweets - 30-40 types;
  • Marshmallow, marmalade, marshmallow, cookies - 30-40 types;
  • Oriental sweets;
  • Buns, muffin;
  • The drinks;
  • Ice cream;
  • Cakes, pastries, cupcakes, rolls.

When selling a product, you need to monitor the expiration date. You can discount the goods if the expiration date is coming to an end, and in order to always have fresh products on the shelves, order products from local confectionery manufacturers.

Sweets from Europe

In order to increase customers to your store later, you can sell products that are not on the market and from competitors. For example, chocolate, biscuits and marshmallows from Europe and America, unusual and atypical for Russia.

Oriental sweets

It is desirable that these types of sweets are created "on the spot". This requires a small workshop for the production of oriental sweets. This direction is quite popular. The ingredients for the preparation of many products are quite simple and cheap, and the effect and their popularity are maximum.

Cooking oriental sweets is quite simple, as their recipe is known to many. The most important thing is quality products.

small shop plan

The task list will look like this:

Step 0 - Difficulties along the way

On your way there may be difficulties in the form of competitors and risks.

Competitors include:

  • Stores or departments that sell similar products and are located close to your store.
  • Supermarkets that have a confectionery department.
  • Gastronomes with a department for sweets.

For each competitor, you need to select a specific strategy.

The main risks include:

  • The emergence of strong competition next to your department. To eliminate this problem, it will be necessary to interest the audience in the products as much as possible. You can't skimp on product quality. It is necessary to constantly monitor the production and assortment of competitors.
  • Increasing the cost of rent will require you to conclude a lease for a long period.
  • A jump in the cost of goods from the supplier. You can find a cheaper supplier, but with similar product quality.
  • Failure on first purchase. It is necessary to analyze the purchased assortment, highlight its strengths and weaknesses.
  • Low quality goods. To eliminate this problem, it will be necessary to look for those suppliers whose product quality is at a high level and which are used in manufacturing process only fresh and natural ingredients.

Step 1 - Selecting a room

As with any business, the location of a candy store affects its success. According to experts in this niche, it is better not to rent a space for a sweet shop near supermarkets and grocery stores, as well as in close proximity to shops that sell similar products. Reasons: cheap prices in supermarkets.

A good store location is:

  • Close to schools, other institutions;
  • Close to parks and gardens;
  • In the sleeping areas of the city.

In order for sales to be at a high level, it is necessary to increase the throughput of the store. This can be done through the organization of various promotions, discounts, etc.

The target audience is children, as well as adults who love sweets.

In a residential area, it is better to place a store in new buildings.

Square trading floor must be at least 70 sq. meters (but it all depends on the range).

If the assortment of the store is not extraordinary, then you can offer a wider range of products.

Repair

In order for the store to attract the attention of customers, it is necessary to make a bright and memorable renovation. It is necessary to think over not only the interior of the room, but also the exterior. Add bright colors in the form of plants, toys and paintings on the walls.

Step 2 - Business Registration

To open a business selling sweets, you can register as individual entrepreneur. This will require:

  • Submit an application to the tax office for the assignment of a TIN;
  • Apply to local authorities and register as an individual entrepreneur;
  • Copy of the passport;
  • Receipt of payment of state duty.

The taxation system is better to choose a single tax on imputed income (UTII).

Required OKVED codes that you will need to work with:

  • 52.24.22 - retail selling sweets
  • 52.11 - food retail

Step 3 - Finding Suppliers

After you have opened a store, you need to gradually update and purchase goods at a number of existing trading bases. If you have established communication channels, then the best option will be purchased from the direct manufacturer. So you will reduce the cost of the purchase due to the fact that resellers will fall out of the chain of relationships.

You need to buy small batches to understand what buyers like or dislike. After the assortment has been formed and consolidated, it is possible to start large deliveries of goods, periodically purchasing new types of products.

If you specialize in the sale of cakes, pastries, pastries, then it is best to purchase these products directly from pastry shops and bakeries.

You will also need to conclude contracts for the delivery of products. So you protect yourself from accidentally spoiled appearance goods.

holiday demand

AT holidays the demand for sweets is growing noticeably, so these days it is necessary to provide the largest range of products. You can conclude an agreement with the supplier to supply more goods on holidays.

Step 4 - Purchasing Equipment

In order for the store in the "island" format to work and function for a long time, it is necessary to purchase the following equipment.
